The MOCer Cup R3: The House on a Hill.
Hey.
About this creation
This is my entry to The MOCer Games Summer 2017.

My opponents entry is Here!

Our category: It's a Trap!
Depict someone or something about to set foot in a trap. The trap has to be intentionally set - no tripping over logs or falling over cliffs. The funnier the better.

So, let's just say I'm not thrilled with my entry. I had a LOT better of an idea, but I ran out of time, and parts. So, that being said, please understand that I did my best in the time I had.

Anyway, the build itself is a small medieval house, on a rocky hill. I really like how the tree turned out. The trap, as you will see later on, is a working trap. When you open the door and step down, part of the floor will fall out, and you will be trapped in a dungeon. I wanted to add spikes or something on the dungeon floor, but I thought that might be violent, so I held back. :P Do note that this is a pre-planned trap, the floor was cut out by the (evil) owner, and placed back in, it is intentional, so it does qualify.

Thanks for looking! Good luck to my opponent!

If you have any questions just let me know.

Trip, trip,TRAP! Nice one, TMNS! Running out of bricks is a situation I know good: Than inventive mind is necessary... ;) I like your compact build! Sorrowly we can't start in the last round 'cause the organizers have to organize...?!

TMMS, you're opponent gets my vote and here's why: While your opponent's trap is mediocre, yours is the classic one. In some cases, this would be considered good, but I would like to see creative and new things in these entries and, let's face it, yours presents all of the classic aspects, but your opponent's has the PAB cup. On the other hand, I did notice you made a roof that was different than I've seen before. But your opponent just barely got my vote. Anyway, good luck with the fourth judge. Good work from both of you.

Quoting City Creator Sorry for the delay but you have my vote. Check Ty's MOC for an explanation.

Quoting Ty S. Oh, just thought of this, aren't you supposed to have included a link to my MOC as well? Not critical, but I think that's what City Creator said
My bad, links are not my strong point, and I often forget them. Sorry. ;)

Congrats to both of you for making it this far! You both showed up wth some solid entries throughout, and this round is no exception. Ty: I really like the set up of your MOC. It's very suspenseful, almost like you can feel the guy about to get hit right as he goes around the corner. I like ackbar breaking fourth wall, although in general the build feels a little disorganized. TMNS: I like the simplicity of your trap, and the style you built in for this round is one I can't remember seeing you build in before, so kudos for that. The trapdoor is definitely a classic. I feel like since both of your traps were on the simple side, I can't judge this round on the trap itself. However, I do feel like TMNS' build is more precisely focused on the star of the show - the trap itself. For that reason, my vote goes to TMNS for this round. Congrats to both of you again, and good luck with the other judges!

Though a bit on the small side, this is an incredibly well built cottage! I particularly enjoy the stonework that's gone into the cottage. Best of luck to ya!

Could there be any more photos? Yes, there can always be more photos. THAT is the trap right there; getting lost in the torrent of photos. This is a really good build. Not much of a trap in my opinion, but the build quality is way up there. I also misread this as House on Haunted Hill, so I was hoping to see Vincent Price and a vat of acid or something. The mind plays its tricks.

Nice build! I like the overall layout, and the tree ;) The rockwork and landscaping could use a little more work IMO, try including more small pieces, focus on adding more texture, and use more SNOT. Also, the texture on the walls of the building will look better if all of the SNOT tiles are aligned straight. Overall this is a good build, good luck in the contest!
