Given that Contenders has two more issues to go before it's done, I obviously don't really have any more MOCs to post for it... well, I have one more, but that's something for a fortnight from now..! In the meantime, have a revamp of a character from the legendary, discontinued Island RPG!
About this creation
“Fotoh always insisted that even us lowly Agori had power- let's prove it, for his sake."
-Fita, The Island RPG (Zanarkand thread)

Fita:
Fita, daughter of Fotoh, is an Agori from the island of Botana; she is the spouse of Krickarr, who rules the Kahkan village. In her old age, she has adopted her father's humour and benevolence, something she employs to great effect as a figurehead of the village. Since her move into the Nightmare Woods, she has learned the ways of sorcery and leads the many mystical rituals that take place there. While her magic usage is light, she is not above employing it aggressively, more than making up for her geriatric fragility.

Fita was born in the Ha'shuan village, the daughter of Whaea and Fotoh the Unchallenged; in childhood she never met her father, as he was of the gallivanting sort and had retreated before her birth. Fita remained in the Ha'shuan village until her mother died, upon which she left home and moved to the Helgran Village, where she hoped to meet Fotoh; she was unaware that he had in fact retired and left the village. Despite this, she remained there and took up work as a blacksmith, crafting weapons for the Helgran Warriors. Despite the fact that she resented Fotoh for abandoning her mother, deep in her heart she longed to finally meet him.

It was in Fita's lifetime that monsters known as the Comers would invade Botana, casting the island into war; doing her part, she provided arms for the Helgran Warriors and witnessed their departure. However, much later, she would end up being summoned to the Van'shu village, the epicentre of the conflict, to help replenish the warriors supplies and aid in the nursing of the wounded. At this point, the Agori realised that the Comers were not their enemy, and instead they would have to face a monster known as the Fearbringer, who resided in the northern mountain rage. It was upon hearing that Fotoh would be present that Fita insisted on accompanying them, despite her severe lack of fighting skill.

The group proceeded into the Fearbringer's layer, to discover the beast already humbled by another, an ancient king named Alphinaud, who had been manipulated into absorbing the Fearbringer and unleashing a Makuta named Sur'Kosh. The king realised too late that he was tricked, as Sur'Kosh stole the Fearbringer power and retreated to his former relm, Zanarkand. Assisted by Alphinaud, the party travelled to Zanarkand to stop Sur'Kosh, only to find that he had assembled an army and had transformed into a monolithic manifestation of the Fearbringer. A great battle occurred, in which Alphinaud and some of the more powerful Agori sapped Sur'Kosh of his power, reducing him to normal size.

However, this came at a cost; Fita finally found Fotoh, wounded and dying in a ditch, at the side of a warrior named Krickarr. Fita knelt beside her father and told him that he was her father; Fotoh was ecstatic, blessing both her and Krickarr in his dying breath. Tearful and enraged, they ended up slaying a weakened Sur'Kosh themselves, despite the ostensible impossibility of such an act, and saved the island for good. After Fotoh was buried, Fita and Krickarr spent quite some time together, forming a close bond. It had become apparent during the war that Krickarr was part of the royal bloodline of the Kahkan village, and so he returned to his homeland and took his place as village elder, with Fita at his side.

Fita has remained with Krickarr ever since, maturing into a wizened old lady who conducts many of the magic rituals of the Kahkan Village.

HERE WE GO, YOU CHUMPING CHUMPS! Those of you who don't remember this tablescrap character, Fita was an NPC I created for The Island RPG, who superseded my playable character, Fotoh, when he died.

While the RPG has long since been discontinued, I felt like doing this as this character didn't really get a proper MOC form, despite her eventual significance to the story- plus the fact that I wanted to present what she'd look like as an older woman in the Kahkan Village.

Speaking of which- she has a different tool now- this is her 'magic wand' of sorts, that she uses in the Kahkan rituals, which doubles up as a walking stick, too.

Not in her character really to be this confrontational, but I thought it was funny, so there.

Height comparison with an Agori build, or what could pass as a younger version of Fita!

Comparing hairstyles with Toa Cilla. I rely on that chain-hair technique a bit too much, but I like it's fluidity in comparison to blades for hair or tubes or something like that.

I'd be very, very careful about what you say next, Kivoda-

-or you might get chastised, like poor Doctor Forgen here!

Preparing to face off against a new foe- as the bio stated, despite her elderly frailty, Fita is more than capable of protecting her home with magic when the time calls for it!

Heads up- Contenders might be delayed next week; the next issue is quite a long one, and with a lot of special editing required, so it's likely to take longer than usual.

I still aim to get it out next Friday, but I can't guarantee I will, I'm afraid.

Until then, that's all folks!

UPDATE 22/8/17:

Turns out she kept her old hammer, the tool-of-choice for her previous version, to remind her of her lowly beginnings; THAT'S ALL.

Quoting Toa Gaim Interesting build there. There's a witch doctor song somewhere for her, but I got the feeling that she may disapproves of it. Toa Hiroshi:"I hope that my father Mata Nui will bring good fortune in your future. *being respectful*"
Thanks Gaim! Perhaps- I don't know if in her old age she'd be at all impressed by such a song :P (Fita: (Bowing head) "Why thank you, kind stranger, and may the Gods bestow fortune upon you!")

Quoting Callum ~ Nicely built! The entire model looks pretty great!. The use of that Surge helmet with the hair really gives off that older look. I think you pulled off the old woman with tatty hair aesthetic very well :P Her feet are pretty well built as well. It's a unique design that I do like. The staff is nice, although the hammer will be missed. I think the more magical and mythological spin you've put on the character is neat, although it does sort of conflict with the whole "us normal guys can do just as much!" message she had at the end of the RPG. It's hardly a problem but just something to think about. Being such a small MOC, it's hard to have many negatives, so overall, I think this is a really neat little MOC. Good job man!
Thanks Callum! I'm glad you like the build, I always enjoy packing as much as I can into MOCs of small stature like this! Yes, the hammer will indeed be missed- maybe she still has it around as a little trophy, to remind her of the old days ;) True, I'd not considered that conundrum before- though despite being a magic user, it's less on the scale of Ramza and Daradun and more to do with little tricks and spells- she's more like a high priestess rather than a great sorcerer or something- but yes, perhaps that could tie into her character, that she's become reliant upon her powers or something. Thanks very much man, always enjoy reading your comments! :D
