Deep undersea vents offer nutrients to some of the world's strangest creatures.
About this creation
I've tried to capture the venting sulfuric gasses as they escape the seamount, surrounded by the classic white and red tube-worms that filter feed on the nutrient rich waters. There are a few fish this deep, mostly albino, but I had to make due with silver. I added a sea star, mostly because sea spiders aren't part of the LEGO catalgue, and the sea star is more likely than many other creatures at this depth since some can be found in the abyssal layers of the ocean to 20,000 feet (6,000 m).
