Hey.
About this creation
This is my entry to The MOCer Games Summer 2017.

My opponent.

Our category is: Fury of the Elements:

Compose a dramatic scene of elemental destruction, from a storm-swept sea lashed by rain and lightning to a city crumbling to an earthquake. Entries should be dynamic in their depiction of the elements, and while this should hopefully be obvious, please don't just use photo editing to show rain or something like that.

I built a city being leveled by an earthquake. Now, there are a few things I need to explain, the neatness of the city might look a bit weird, where a building is falling apart and right next to it the side walk is fine looking, most earthquakes are like this, it's normal, you can find pictures on Google. And the fire is caused by electrical lines being split or damaged and that causes fires. Just wanted to clear that up.

Everything is pretty self explanatory, if you don't know what something is, just ask me before you judge, I want to clear things up for you so I don't unnecessarily lose any points. :)

you have the winning vote! I really loved both MOCs, but I think you better depicted the action of a natural disaster. I think Noel's entry was amazing, but yours has my vote! Congratulations !

I love the fact that your build features several results of an earthquake, rather than focusing on one. Such details as the cracks with uneven slopes, the fire hydrant, the bent traffic lights and the fire were great. My favorite, however, has to be the debris at the edge of that wall. That is so realistic and the inclusion of studs in it was a good choice. You've got my vote.

Those are some really nice cracks. I like the small differences in angles between the sides, they just add that little extra bit.

Most of our categories are original, but occasionally we'll reuse some from past contests that we like. This was a very close match, but Noel got my vote. I've never seen a tornado in real life, but the way he designed it "ripping" into the house was spot on.

Awesome! I like the crumbling wall, the traffic lights and the gap in the street. Also very nice use of minifig heads to show the panic that would certainly capture anyone caught in such an event :-)

Good use of slopes and jump plates to create the cracks. Overall good parts usage.

Fantastic entries from both of you guys! This is looking to be a war of textures - Noel with rougher ones and TMNS with smoother ones. At the same time, both of you came out with beautifully clean, top quality builds. Noel: I'm just going to be straight - your builds are kinda always awesome. I love the use of tiles on the terrain here, and your house is ace. The one thing that I'm not convinced by is the tornado. TMNS: this has to be my favorite build of yours. The cracks in the street and the walls are beautifully organic. My favorite detail is the broken traffic lights, though. It's a subtle touch that really brings the whole scene together. I love the chunky look of the crack through the road. I think for me what it really came down to was who showed the magnitude and sheer power of nature. While Noel's tornado looked awesome and was undoubtedly well built, it looked small, and there wasn't enough destruction going on. The earthquake on TMNS' build was occurring on such a large scale that in the end I have to give my vote to him. Great job to both of you, and good luck with the other judges!

Lookin' good! IMHO you captured the category better than I did. You really got the destruction in there. OK, so as a joke I was thinking about building my house, taking pictures and then dropping it as an example of gravity :-P Good luck!

Quoting Classical Bricks Gaahhhh, the dreaded category! (This same category knocked me out in Tourney earlier this year). Great scene, I like the cracks in the buildings and the bent streetlights!
Yikes, I didn't know they reused categories. Thanks!
