What a better way to beat the heat than with a water park?
About this creation
I've spent the last 3 days building what is undoubtedly my largest MOC to date. It contains five 32x32 baseplates, plus a few others sticking out, all of my large dark bley plates (so much that I had to start using two colors), as well as thousands of other pieces.
There is a total of 37 minifigs in this MOC! Can you find them all?
We'll start things off at the entrance. I ran out of pieces to build a proper entrance, but this will do. Fun Fact 1: If you beat the high score on this arcade machine from the Kwik-E-Mart, you and your whole family can get a 25% discount on your next visit!
The all-important bathrooms/changing rooms/showers. Fun Fact 2: They’re actually empty.
First stop on our tour: the kids' pool. I wanted to build many small slides, but this one will do.
Those red SNOT bricks are meant to simulate small water dispensers.
Be sure to pick up a copy of MOCpages News while you're at it. Fun Fact 3: This box would be stocked with MOCpages News issues, but they haven’t made one in weeks…
Next up: the wave pool.
Whether you want to relax or swim through the waves, we've got you covered.
Yes, there is a lifeguard on duty, otherwise we'd get sued.
Nothing like chillin’ in 45-degree Dubai heat. Fun Fact 4: That is actually how hot it is, maybe even hotter.
Now where the fun really begins: the "Big Three" slides.
“Let’s do that again!”
This one goes by many names: the Toilet, the Swirly, the Flush, the Twister, or just The Orange One. Don’t go down headfirst! Fun Fact 5: City learned that the hard way.
These two are identical except for height, and there is certainly a big difference… Fun Fact 6: The taller one is nearly double the height of the shorter one.
This guy seems to be scared not only because of the drop height, but because he's being pushed down by a menacing kid.
A closer look at the exit pool.
When it's time to eat, take a trip to the water park's restaurant. Be sure to change first, because no shirt, no service! Fun Fact 7: This restaurant’s most-selling item is their signature Heat Lamp Dogs.
A full view of the busy interior. Fun Fact 8: One of the 4x4 plates inside here is slightly broken.
Wow, the lines are long today, or is it just lunchtime in the Lego world? Fun Fact 9: Minifigs have no sense of time.
Don't drop your pizza!
So, that concludes my largest ever MOC. I would have liked to add a few more slides, a lazy river, and maybe even a hotel, but I quickly ran out of water pieces.
Great build! I can see you have a variation on my brick collection, as they are compareable in size.xI That sounds rude, but it's not meant to be. I spy 91 in all the pics added together, and 29 in the MoC as a whole, I think...:P
