Popeye the Sailor
I only like to build a known character if I like him very much or love him! So like this iconic comic hero from Elzie Segar, appearing for the first time in 1929. I don't know how popular he is today
About this creation
My interpretation with the bricks is based on the classical comics, not the modern stuff...

This squeezy face was a fine challenge, trying it my mimic maybe was similar... ;)

Enjoy and have fun!

Quoting Marty Fields Always been a fan of Popeye. Like how you have gone for the original colours of his outfit rather than the WWII naval whites. Great job.
Glad you like him so much, thanks Marty!

Quoting The Actionfigure A very good likeness of the original! I love the ears!
Thanks so much, Felix! As I told before, the "ear"- solution is an older idea I'd used in "Happy" or also "Willy deVille"... ;)

Quoting Jeremy McCreary I watched Popeye every afternoon in grade school. I'd say you nailed him, my friend -- right down to the tatoo!
Thanks again, my friend! I'm always happy if my store of bricks is big enough to get a creation finalized. But it's always a struggle to do so... ;)

Quoting James Y. I was actually watching old Popeye cartoons the other day. I grew up watching him. Sadly, he hasn't aged as well as the Loony Tunes. Much of his stuff is much harder to watch now. This is a good rendition of him.
I agree, old stuff is hard to find on TV and most newies are often just a copy! Thanks much, James!
