Truck 9
Truck 9 arrived on July 18, 2017 after a brief refurbishment by our local dealer and shop mechanics! Truck 9 is now ready for action!
About this creation

Rear windows for better visualization

The body of the tiller is loaded with compartment space for the wide variety of tools the truck companies carry.

The ladder tunnel storage protects the ground ladders from the environment.

Ladder tunnel open

Officer's side of the truck carries the rescue tools while the driver's side carries truck company tools

Having rear windows aids the driver as he maneuvers down tight alleys

The cab is a 2006 ALF that was well maintained by the previous owner.

Truck 9 with the ladder raised.

Truck 9 was also established in mid 2017 as a second truck company in Battalion 3's district to alleviate the call load at both Station 5 and Station 9. With Squad 5 and Truck 5 running quite frequently into 9'd area, it was determined that an additional light force was needed in 9's area. Truck 9 will run in tandem with Engine 209 as Light Force 9. When the apparatus committee looked at buying a new tiller, the cost and wait time was too much for the department. Hence, it was necessary to look at used vehicles. As it turned out, this particular apparatus happened to show up the same day our apparatus committee visited the dealer. Although the rig is a little more than 10 years old, the aerial truck was in good condition when the Department purchased the rig.

Technical Specs:

Thank you Jimmie! I've been meaning to do an ALF for a while now, but it sure took some time to capture the finer details!

Quoting Henry H The ALF cab, and the rest of the rig, came out perfectly in bricks. Excellent work.
Thank you Henry! I am definitely pleased with the ALF cab. I did wish I could add more headlights, but it really isn't possible given the scale.

Quoting Sven ;o) Oh no, that's not the one ;) It's one with an interesting paint scheme. And I think nobody ever tried to build this rig with Lego :)
Hmmm... I'm stumped! I can't wait to see what it is!

Quoting Sven ;o) Yes it's going to be a FDNY Engine. A special one I always wanted to do ;) But first I have to do some research and preparation. And you're welcome my friend. You did so many great lookin rigs this year. It's awesome how big your fleet is right now.
I can't wait to see what you come up with! If it's a special one, I'm thinking Engine 165 :o :D This year is big in terms of getting rigs done haha! Thanks to my jobs, I can now do things I wasn't able to do before!
