Optimus Prime is the awe-inspiring leader of the Autobot forces. Selfless and endlessly courageous, he is the complete opposite of his mortal enemy Megatron. Originally a mere civilian, he was chosen by the Matrix to command, the first in a number of heavy burdens he has been forced to bear. Another is his bringing of the Transformers' conflict to Earth. Every casualty, human or Cybertronian, weighs heavily on his spark. He does not show this side to his soldiers, and he never succumbs to despair. The Autobots need a decisive, charismatic leader, and that is what he gives them. It was that leadership which turned the tide of the Great War.
About this creation

Here is the leader of the Autobots in Lego form, Optimus prime made out of 1034 bricks in robot mode and 1006 bricks in truck mode. The design shares some design details from Chris Roach's and John Fink's own designs. The design of the lower torso, the legs and the head are based on Chris's design and the detachable fists, Prime's energon axe and Ion blaster are of John Fink's design.Credit goes to each of them. The total height in robot mode stands at 9 minifigures tall or 36 bricks tall. The transformation is based on 2 different toys. The model and the majority of the transformation is based on the 2008 deluxe class: special edition Optimus Prime toy and the detachable fists are based on the original G1 convoy.

The chest can open to reveal the Matrix of Leadership inside.

Here is a comparison between my older model and the current model. The most notable difference is in the lower torso, legs and the height.

As mentioned earlier, the model is based on the (Deluxe Class: Special Edition, 2008) toy so is in truck mode. The exterior details play homage to the G1 cartoon version which the front headlights resemble that from the cartoon.

Looking from the side, the legs look longer because of the similer detail to the toy.

The transformation sequence is shown below.

Firstly, open the arms outward.

Then followed by the shoulders.

Turn the entire upper torso piece around.

Then lift up the wheels on both sides.

Angle the legs downward and fold the crouch piece open.

Angle the feet with the toes facing forward.

Looking around the back, fold the front bumper inward and open the back.

Fold out the head then close the back.

Replace the grey pieces with the detachable fists.

Finally angle all the parts and you are left with Optimus Prime fully transformed.

Prime comes armed with his trusty ion blaster and energon-axe which he used in one episode.Credit goes to John Fink for the designs.

A final shot of me in minifugure form with Prime.

“ Freedom is the right of all sentient beings. ”

Quoting Daniel Ringuette Well done! Both modes look great! I like how the wheels fold up! This might inspire me to improve my Prime! I wonder if there is a way to cover the knee joints? I think that would make both modes look even better. Anyway, great job!
Yeah the knee joints look exposed a lot.But Thank you.
