My entry for round 4 of the Middle Earth LEGO Olympics. My category this time was Gondolin, a hidden elvish city from The Silmarilion. I really enjoyed experimenting more with Elvish architecture with this build, as well as the colors and patterns. One of my main goals was to include as many non-square elements as I could, like the gardens, fountain and rounded base, which I think ended up turning out quite well.
Iíll definitely be doing more elvish builds in the future, as itís an incredibly fun style to build in and this ended up being one of my personal favorite builds of mine to date.
Credit for how to fill in the rowboats goes to Simon NH, and Marcel V. and Vitreolum for the harp and lute respectively.

Thanks for looking, C&C welcome :)
Extremely impressive, John! I love all the interesting techniques you used, the top-notch detailing, and most of all, your take on Elvish architecture. My only complaint would be that it looks a little too much like Rivendell. I would've liked to see something a bit different, design wise. But that's only a minor critique. Congratulations on advancing!
I love the colored impressions of Gondolin, the city built of white marble, much top-notch and the scenery with all that acting folks and the stuff, John! What I don't like are the grey surrounds like of concrete, the old crossed fences and the "street- laterns"... ;) At all an impressive MOC!
