NYC has it and LegoNYC needs it, a classic diner. I choosed the iconic Empire Diner in New York. The Lego model isn't a exact replica because it's a bit smaller and a belonging to building is missing but I think that I still put the charme of a classic diner into my Lego model. I hope you like it. The real one (located at 210 10th Avenue NYC) got a refurbishment and they removed the Empire State Building silhouette from the roof. But I decided to add the iconic silhouette. My will be added to LegoNYC on a existing free space (16x32 studs). But it's not much room for taking good pics from there. That's the reason why I took the pics of the building alone.
It's such a bummer that I wasn't at home while you were typing all the nice comments. I really missed your voice (okay your typing) here and I know that you have to work very hard at the moment. Something I'm not okay with because working so long without any freetime isn't good for almost anything. I'm glad that you're still alive my brother and we miss you and Jill a lot! Take care my good friend and stay healthy. Thank you very much for your very lovely words!
Ohh, that's so kind from you my friend. Thank you so much again! I agree with you, it's great to see it in the city with all the people. But now my ground space is consumed. No new space available till I move to another apartment.
Thank you so much for your very kind comment my friend ;) I'm very happy about that you like it so much. Yes, I like the pictures too. Looks full of life an that's what I like. LOL! Um, he's a good boy and won't do that ;)
There's so much love in this item, that this MOC must be getting a great number, my friend! Particularly I love the pics with all that folks. Hope, ScoobyDoo will not lift his leg on your fine build... ;)
Haha, you wanna keep your department busy eh? XD Thank you so much my friend ;) Glad you like it so much. But it's sad that so many classic Diners had to close down. Read that in an article ahile searching for information about the Empire Diner.
Thank you so much Doug ;) Will take one or two pictures of it in the city tomorrow. Today was a very busy day because I raised the last 130x10 studs of sidewalks one plate. Now all the sidewalks are two plates high.
That's great to hear my friend. Thank you so much for your very kind comment. To bad I had no pic of the roof area itself. So most of the stuff-except the ESB is fictional. I saw that there is some stuff on the roof but had no clear view on how it looks like exactly.
Hey my friend. I know this glitch since many years but it was never solved. So I believe that you gave the higher rating ;) Thank you so much for your kind words my friend. Happy about that you like it so much.
Referring to an article the rooftop Empire State Building replica had gone missing in 2010. But no further information available why... The ED had many owner changes and for a short period the name was changed to "The Highliner" referring to the nearby Highline Park. Thank you so much for your very kind comment my friend!
Thank you so much my friend! Started with the brick lettering first and was the first time ever I did it XD Greets back to you and your family from me, Julia and my Family. Wish you all the same. Um, will take a picture later and add it here. But need better lighting and space XD
Very nice! This will make a great addition to your city. I too really like the lettering, but the shape of the building looks great too :-) About your explanation for my disappearing rating on TMNS's pencil and paper-build: I have never noticed it happen before, but a glitch in the system would certainly explain what happened. I was sure i gave it a higher rating than what showed up when i commented on it the first time.
Thank you so much my friend ;) I'm glad you like the roof equipment. Was one of the details I had no picture of (except the Empire State). So I tried my best to let it look as good as possible. Feel free to visit me :) I could serve you some good German food ;)
