About this creation

My opponent's awesome entry, Good luck!
Made for
MELO 2017
Category, Erebor (*sigh* another Erebor)

I was pretty bummed when I saw my category, since I just did an Erebor for the first round. Cause I really didn't know what to build. So I ended up with this, not my best (but not my worst). Good luck all!

To God be the glory,

Carter

Noice... As usual, you've really outdone yourself on this creation Carter, made all the more fantastic given its subject matter. That rock/stone column is truly beautiful and provides excellent centralizing focus for the whole build. Great job on the stone greebling and the slight color add-ons to help prevent monotony from forming. Oh, and nice job on creating the angled central node, that's never easy to do (especially considering the techniques that you were using with the cheese slopes). Well done and God bless, ~Promar~

Decent placed golden ornaments and a wonderful perspective here! Great work! In my humble opinion the rockwork of dwarfes is not as fine defined as here, maybe more bombastic with clean hewn surfaces... ;) My comments come very late here, what is definetely NOT a sign of disinterest but more a lack of time!

Hi again, Choco showed the build from a while back, lol. Greetz, Elio

Hi there, It is a pretty cool build. It does look like something from a while back. Someone else build something similar. That doesn't mean that this is not a good build by the way! Greetz, Elio

Great entry! I really like the gold brick elements you added to the rockwork, it makes the build look really interesting. And while I fell in love with the nostalgic feeling and Tolkien athmosphere of your opponent's build, this is a really great build from a technical point of view and nice to look at. I especially like the throne. You have my vote!

I am voting for you for one reason: Your build is very clean and polished. Good luck in round 4!

A very good build, I particularly like the dark gray rockwork up top. I think the transition to the light gray stonework should be a little more faded, but over all very good. I also like the vain of gold. You get my vote.

Nicely done!--the rockwork, the masonry. Well done, despite having to build so similarly to before. Good luck! (-Exactly, @Choco! I can't believe I remember that build, still!)

Belter. I think I actually prefer it to erebor mark 1.

Awesome Carter! I really love the rockwork! I think the sand green fits in to the scene better this time too... :D Keep it up and good luck!
