Now it's done. A new highrise is visible at the skyline of LegoNYC. This is the first time I designed and planned a building in LDD/Stud.io and built it in real bricks. It fits pretty nice into the city and I really like how it turned out. The building is 100cm high and hollow inside because of the parts costs. But floors can be added afterwards easily due to the modularity. The same with the elevator shaft. Both, the floors and the elevator shaft will be added later.
About this creation
Now at night, the new Skyline.
The residents have a friendly doorman and the janitor cleaned up the steps to the entrance.
View down onto the streets ;)
The roof with all the details a roof needs. Tracks for the window cleaner platform (use the one I have for LNYC Tower), the technic room of the elevator, lights, antenna and air condition.
Thank you so much my good friend, brother and JOS teammate <3 I highly appreciate your very nice comment! It got (surprisingly) a major update and I will post pictures of the new design tomorrow. It's late now and don't have the best light to take pics and some details still must be done. So take a look again tomorrow, will be a new post.
Yes my friend, that's the building I was talking about :) But you have to wait till tomorrow because I wasn't at home the most time of the day. Some details still must be done but tomorrow you'll see a new post. Thank you again so much for all the kind words and the biiiiig compliment my friend!
It was well worth the wait (all of 30 seconds, my computer is old and slow) to see this majestic beacon arise from the concrete jungle that is LEGONYC. It compliments everything you have done thus far to the greatest LEGO city ever created. BOAJDTAP. 100/100.
I know i already left a comment on this, but i am guessing this is the building you are planning changes to? It looks great already, so i will be looking forward to see the changes you make. As i mentioned earlier i really like the entrance floor and the details on the roof. With your diner and this your city is really expanding! I think it is already one of the most epic cities on the 'pages, but with the new buildings it will only be even more epic :-)
Oh, what a surprise. Didn't notice that I am on Across Mocpages. That's pretty cool. No problem my friend, but don't leave MP okay? We still need activity here ;) Thank you very much for your very nice comment my friend. Glad you like it!
Welcome to the Across MOCpages section, my friend! I haven`t been very active on MP lately so your new skyscraper somehow lost my attention. It`s a nice addition to the skyline of your LEGO NYC. Nice work Sven!
Yeah, I know what you're talking 'bout. Had that several times this year. And the words weren't that hard language. Anyway, thank you very very much my friend. I'm glad you like this one so much. Maybe your first comment will appear sometime... Have a good day my friend.
*smile* That's a really nice comment my friend which I really appreciate. Not sure how fast LegoNYC will grow in the future because the max. ground space is almost reached. But could be possible that I can move it a bit to get additional 32 studs space on one side.
I was there for only five days and was busy with doing pics and videos of the city itself and it's emergency services XD The same in Chicago. And I know the feeling when the memories come back into mind while watching a TV series set in one of the cities. Yeah, you're right about the figures. The streets and sidewalks are pretty empty atm. Will change it after the fight against the dust XD Thank you so much for your very kind comment my friend which I much appreciate.
A very impressive addition to an even more impressive rendering of NYC, my friend. I've only spent a total of 2 weeks there, but I spent much of that time photographing Manhattan. Lately I've been watching Law & Order reruns and see a good bit of the city through that lens almost nightly. On that basis, I'd say that you've captured the look and feel of the city beautifully. All you need now is to fill the sidewalks with well-dressed minifigs with a briefcase in one hand and a disposable coffee cup in the other.
Very nice build Sven! I really like the glass panel above the entrance. BTW, in a week or so you can expect a new submarine, I am taking the most recent one down.. Cleaning the black bricks which were on top is done now, that took me 2 hours. Disassembling the sub will take another 6.
This looks great, Sven! Indeed, it fits right in to your city with the look and that height. And judging by the lobby floor and the roof section, the interior will look great when you build that too :-)
