Quoting Ben Cossy Using the boat to shape the windows, genius! Absolutely love this! Great rock work too
Thanks so much, Ben! I made with real bricks some things I tried out with LDD years before... ;)

Quoting Nick Barrett Looking through the pics here, I find it refreshing to find a MELO moc with a bit of colour! I see Elio disagrees and I'm sure he's more knowledgeable in this area but I can't help siding with you on this one Oliver. Beautiful work.
Happy you're feeling entertained in a good way here, Nick! Thank you! Criticism is absolutely ok and as I told Elio, a matter of taste and individually gotten impressions. Most people know only the great movies from Peter Jackson and try to go to this design... And the background of the pic is really not in a perfect condition... ;)

Quoting VAkkron ™ Gorgeous take on the city! I really like all the elements and the natural, yet livable feel that this MOC has. Wonderful work, Oliver!
Hey VAk, thanks so much! What a great cheers from you, my friend! Makin' me glad... :)

Quoting Jeremy McCreary Love all the unexpected architectural touches here -- and out of such odd parts! Very clever, my friend.
Odd parts is a nice description, LOL! Thanks again Jeremy, try my best here even this one wasn't got ready at all, surroundings are not totally completed (not to see...) and I've only a limited number of ME minifigs... ;)

Quoting Ian Spacek Unique take on Rivendell! Some really vibrant stuff here. That's a fascinating tree technique! Bravo.
Glad you also like my Imladris- version so much, Ian! Thank you! Belonging to trees I tried out some individual styles before in "Pete's Dragon", so also a pine tree with the bushes... ;)

Quoting Elio Salsano Hi Oliver, A great build, I must say. But in a way something looks wrong, I think it's the background that makes the colors look bad. (sorry...) The shaping of the building looks very good, especially around the boatpieces. And that left tree looks fantastic! Keep it up. Congratz, Elio
Hey Elio, thanks for your critical and kind comment! Ok, there's not much honor to win with this background. And the color is a matter of taste. I think I'm a better builder than a photographer and on last thing I'll have to work on... ;) Glad you'd enjoyed this although and no sorrow about criticism, it's welcome if it comes in an objective way: nobody is perfect! :)

Whoa there! That's a special kind of honor here, thanks so much!!! Glad this MOC finds so much appreciation! Hahaha, I started with a small planed one and it got bigger and bigger: too many ideas came up while building... ;)

Quoting Michael Kringe Wow, this is a really interesting interpretation of Rivendell. It's not just a copy of the movie-version as it can be found on thousands of lego related internet pages, it has its very own style: I'm very impressed by the wide range of unique parts you used for this (whips, boat parts (I think) and elephant teeth to name only a few) You got my vote!
Thanks so much, Michael! You've nailed it in your prescription, this should NOT be a movie- related version, it's just my own fantasy from the books! Reading books is still the best to form your fantasy... ;) And I'm happy you like it also so much, so you don't have to regret your invitation for me... ;)

Quoting C Stucky I'm not sure I agree with your choice to use brown, but it goes together well with white (and I especially love your use of medium-azure). The details and especially the flowing and archy feel, are so great. It's definitely a different feel for Rivendel than I'm used to, but it works well and looks great!
Thanks for your critical appreciation here, CS! I'm happy you came to the opinion that the only interpretation of ME is not only found in the great movies of Peter Jackson and his famous team ( I love them... )! My endeavor was and is to create my own stuff individually, 'cause ideas are there many... ;) Of course I also like to do some popular characters and rebuilds if I love them!

Thanks much BN, so nice you've joined CC's opinion! Did my best to use old ideas of ME creations builded former with LDD using them now in this MOC with the real bricks... ;)

Quoting Robert Miller this is really awesome. a very creative and beautiful piece of art. you should put it on the ideas website. I guess it can easily reach 10.000 points and become an official set. honestly!
Glad you like it so much giving this kind comment, Robert! I tried a project on LEGOideas before (big TINTIN figs), but it had no chance 'cause I'm no member of a social network, and that's the way it works... ;)

Quoting Henrik Jensen This is beautiful Oliver! You`ve put a lot of creativity into this piece of architecture!
Hey Henrik, glad you're stoppin' by and leave a like on this one, my friend! It's great to build some Middle Earth creations here after a long time doing this with the LDD. Let's call it a welcome opportunity and a little change in my themes beeing part in this fine/fair contest. Most contestants could be my kids, so me old one could be proud that they like to bother a little with me here, maybe becuse they like my fantasy with the bricks... ;) Neverthemind the skills of some are very impressive and mainly I like to have this fun here! :)

Glad you've so much fun with my creation, Clayton! Thanks my friend! :) The throne is thrown as a spontaneous gimmick in the "battle", 'cause I thought a little interiour would be nice... ;)

Quoting The Grey Man Creative use of parts. The colours are a bit christmassy mind, but everyone loves Christmas. It would fit right in with the official winter holiday sets.

Quoting TMNS 5097 Great work! I really like the tree off to the far left, and as usual, you have great parts usage. The only thing is, the link to your opponent seems to be faulty in some way, it takes me to Secret Raptors Halo creation. Just thought you might want to know. :)
Thanks for your kind comment, TMNS! The tree left side in the pic should be a mountain pine! And about the faulty link: thanks for the advise, my tired eyes and mind: forgot the "http" in it while posting... ;) Corrected it!
