Nimbus motorbike, commissioned build.
A commissioned LEGO version of the Danish Nimbus motorbike, a Technic and System combination model.
About this creation

This LEGO version of the Danish Nimbus motorbike, was commissioned by a member of Aarhuus Nimbus Club, in connection with the handover of my first LEGO Nimbus, to the Danish Nimbus motorcycle museum in Horsens DK. Custom made to match the colors and characteristics of this particular members bike, but without the sidecar.
Collecting parts for a build like this is quite time consuming and a bit tedious, so I have refused to take in new orders. But sooner or later, I`ll build a new one for my own collection of MOCs, and I have wheels for a sidecar too.

Quoting Arnold Kramer Getting the angle between the backbone and the frontfork just right (>90 deg) seems to always be a problem building motorcycles out of legos. My own attempts resulted in tensions in the wrong places and thus broken elements. (see my avatar) In your case the original angle is about 90 deg so you're good. It inspires me to build a Nimbus MOC too but with some functionality. (Engine, gearbox,...) :)
Thank you for the comment Arnold! You don`t seem to be a very active builder, at least not on MOCpages, but I`m glad to have inspired you for building your own Nimbus bike. My Triumph Rocket III has a fully functional built-in Technic engine and shaft drive.

Quoting Scott Bertaut Another great looking bike from you. I like the engine design and curved fenders. I am really impressed you are able to make the frames so realistic looking and yet still stay together.
Thank you very much Scott! I`m glad you like it! It was quite challenging to design the frame with the wanted look, and it`s actually pretty strong, particular the area around the gastank. By the way, the bike was recently handed over to it`s new owner, so it`s not in my possession any more!

Quoting Petey Bird Another fantastic motorcycle! Just incredible how you manage to make them look so realistic. I especially like the fuel tank on this one.
Thank you very much Petey! I guess I would never had succeeded without the LDD tool, which is perfect for handling a fragile model like this. And here you can change parts deep inside the build without disassemling the whole model.

Quoting Jeremy McCreary I like this one even better than the original, Henrik, and that's saying something! Lots of great details and finishing touches.
Thank you Jeremy! My elder brother agree with you, he thinks the black and grey, looks more true to the vintage style! But after all, color is only a matter of taste!

Quoting Oliver Becker Great work again, Henrik! You've catched the spirit of the machine, my friend! Nice gimmick is the battered head-lamp housing... ;)
Thank you Oliver, I find the half meteor part the best suited part for the headlamp, too bad it doesn`t come without the dents :-)

Quoting Sven ;o) You built again a really beautiful replica of the Nimbus motorbike. Fabulous design and details my friend!
Thank you very much my friend. It obviously isn`t a new build, but a few things are changed to match the customers bike like the old style licens plates and the mirrors.

Quoting Builder Allan Wow!
