I could pretend this post isn't almost 3 months late, or I could say that I landed on the wrong Time Isle and am only now returning to reality.
About this creation

Main shot. I got colonial America in the Bricks Cascade Time Isles collaboration, but since the next island over was the Civil War, I decided to switch things up a little bit by doing Native Americans instead of the usual colonists.

The side of the longhouse. Something like 90% of my reddish brown 1x4 tiles are on this thing.

And now a whole bunch of artsy shots!

A guy with some stuff. Not sure what he's supposed to be doing.

Spear fisher in the moment.

Another one on his way.

Old person. I hope I'm not offending anybody by using mostly Lone Ranger parts (southwestern America) in Pacific Northwest Native American figs. I didn't have anything else :(

A frog chilling by the river. Really happy with how the water turned out.

And my favorite part of the entire MOC, the totem pole. I might make more just because of how much I like this one.

And one more look at it all. There aren't a lot of different overall angles of this build. That's because what I realized at BrickCon is that with smaller builds, not many people will spend a lot of time looking at all the different angles and stuff (unless it's a hella nice build), so it's better to have a build that looks really good from one angle and not worry as much about the others. With that in mind, this island is basically only interesting from the front. The best dark bley rock work is on the sides and the back, though, and doesn't show up well in these photos.

I can't reflect much on Bricks Cascade since I wasn't able to make it down there (huge s/o to Doug Hughes for driving my build down and back!!). The Time Isles did win Best in Show down there, and I'm so blessed to have been a part of it. Especially since my part of the reward had an Ewok.

Anyway, I finally posted photos of this because I'm getting ready to take it apart for a much larger and more important project, which will be finished at the end of next week. Thanks for looking, and don't forget to leave comments or criticism! - Justin

Quoting Deus "Big D." Otiosus Timeless Isle? Pandaland flashbacks! On a serious note, this is a fine scene. Totem pole looks proper indeed, and the water is at least interesting, but possibly very good.
Ooh is that a WoW reference? Idk what you mean otherwise. Glad you like the totem pope and the water! Thanks for commenting :)

Quoting Doug Hughes Love it! This was one of our more exotic islands in the collab (funny how that works since the subject matter is from the US!), I think people really appreciated it. Plus, the techniques and design aesthetic are awesome!!
Thank you!! Yeah that is a bit ironic. Thanks again for driving it down and back!

Quoting Jonathan Demers I like that water technique too! Good work Justin!
Thanks! There's one part that's a little too yellow, but overall I'm happy with it.

Quoting Marley Mac Very cool model! You don't usally see Native-American themed builds here, it's refreshing to see one! I really like the rock work and the little river you've added, they both feel very realistic!
Thanks man! Yeah, Native American builds are rare, and Pacific Northwest ones even rarer. I may do more just so they get better representation in LEGO form.
