2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C7)
Speed Champions/City scale C7 Corvette.
About this creation
Based on set 75870 from TLG, this underwent a radical change. Really the only thing left is the colour scheme and some tasteful decal usage. This sat for quite a while as I finished other projects, and fiddled with STUD.io to get what I wanted out of this car. Enjoy!

Gotta love the profile the real car has. I instantly fell in love with this car even though I've never been a huge Corvette fan.

The rear end was the toughest part of this model. The taillights and bumper are very awesome, and a little tough to get perfect.

My goal was to make the new C7 look lower and more streamlined than the C5 and C6.

Thank you for viewing!

Quoting von erics The front and rear ends are both fantastic, as are the proportions! But that side vent, Jack, that side vent. Jack... that side vent. Is. Awesome. Ridiculously awesome! I wish I'd of thought of that >:D But man I'm also digging the backdrops for your photo booth - they're very snazzy. The effect of that curvature is something I hope to achieve with POV-ray!
Wow, I really appreciate the terrific feedback! TLG had a decent solution for the side vents, but I couldn't use it out of principle. My black backdrop is embarrassingly simple, but an absolute pain when it comes to lighting since it's glossy. I end up having to fix it in post. I'll sure you'll come up with a better solution! :-)

Quoting Petey Bird Wow, another great looking 'Vette. Really nice job on closing those gaps around the wheel arches. Those vents on the side are very clever. Great job!
Thanks for the comment! I'm still working out the kinks in this scale, and some cars are easier to clean up than others. The vents is what held this car up from being finished! Always works that way. :-)

Quoting Dave Slater I love it. The vents on the side are inspired, and I love the stance you were able to get with this one.
Awesome feedback! I tried several things to get that right. :-)

Quoting von erics That side-vent is awesome!! As is the rear end - definitely my favorite part! I love this for using the City wheels and mudguards, too ;D
Awesome feedback! I have decided that the SC wheels and mudguards are only suitable for big cars like classics or small trucks. There is more room to work with when I use the smaller tires and mudguards. :-)

Quoting Blaine R. Blown away! I think your C7 ZO6 would be a great basis for the Corvette Racing Team C7.R GTLM car.
Thank you! Maybe! I might do that. :-)

Quoting Marc "Edge" R.unde So much better than the official set, especially without so many stickers! The exhaust is looking great. I don't get it, why TLG used stickers instead... ~Marc
The exhaust uses techniques that TLG never employs, and the sets are intended for kids to build and play with. Mine? Not so much. So stickers is easier.
