The Rude Gentleman
A fallen hero- the corpse of a once great warrior- it's little more than a twisted puppet... As you can see, I did a bit of a twist on the whole Mech thing, though I think you'll still like it- well, I hope anyway... :P
About this creation
This is an entry for CONTEST: Mech by David Ruler Of The Limbo Pocket. There's not much time left until the deadline, though if you wanna sneak in an entry in the last moment I'm sure David would appreciate that!

EDIT: Oh, there's been a deadline boost to the 28th- so MOC away, and enter the contest!

The character also exists in RaptorTalon's Hero Factory Cities Fallen RPG continuity. Join it if you haven't yet, it could do with a jolt of life to it!

The Rude Gentleman:
The Rude Gentleman was a vigilante from Makuhero City; he was not a member of the Hero Factory, though he generally affiliated with them. While generally the Heroes did not like the unsavoury way he dealt with criminals, hence the 'Rude' in his oxymoronic title, many of them respected him as a friend; when not dealing with his own missions, he would help out a struggling Hero in a difficult fight. He was well-spoken and kind-hearted out of battle, though he was a different beast altogether amongst enemies, his crude rife and mangled hook blade indexical to his nasty violent streak. Despite this, most law abiding citizens remembered him fondly.

When the Hero Factory fell, The Rude Gentleman made it his task to protect the citizens of Makuhero City, and aid any heroes that he could. In the end however, he could do nothing to stop the Heroes from retreating the city and the Villains taking over, the surviving citizens allying themselves with Demagogues like the ForgeLord. Stripped of a cause, the Gentleman wandered the streets, slashing down any criminals that came into his path; needless to say, the Gentleman became nothing more than a forlorn wanderer. At one point, he discovered a district in the inner city that had been completely overrun by Evil Brains. He deduced that they must have been held in the Assembly Tower for study, only to escape once the building was ransacked; furthermore, he supposed that he had nothing to fear from them, as his protective headgear would prevent them from possessing him.

However, these Brains were resourceful, unnaturally strong and above all cruel. When they discovered that they could not attach to the Gentleman's cranium, they chose a different means of possession. After they had swarmed him and disarmed him, the leader of this pack burrowed into his chest, taking full control of his body but not his mind. The two now live a symbiotic relationship, the Gentlemen relying on the Brain to prevent his chest from caving in. Over time, quite a few stray heroes stumbled into the district; each time the Gentleman would beg them to run away, while his body would be compelled by the brain to tear the intruder to pieces. This has happened for several years, no one yet proving successful against the Gentleman in battle.

The Rude Gentleman lingers in an abandoned inner city district, cursing his miserable existence.

Here it is! Again, quite a subversion of the whole 'Mecha' thing- though technically it's still a big robot piloted by a small organic thing- so you can't fault me there!

The back. As you can see, it's quite an odd torso design- the skeleton was fun to make, but tough to armour.

His makeshift rifle- this is what I call 'improvised building'- I threw a bunch of stuff together without knowing what I was doing!

Hook blade- not my proudest weapon, to be honest- but the crudeness suits his character I think.

I'm really proud of this head, though. I wasn't originally going for this look- this guy was more gonna be like an Arthurian knight errant, but once I made the beard I knew I had to roll with it, and he became a completely different character!

The brain removed. It's a tight fit in there- I knew I had to balance making him fit in there and making the torso look solid. It came close, but fortunately the brain being bendy allowed me to get away with it.

Height comparison with Ekimu. This guy's very tall!

Fighting Krode, because he was the closest Toa I had to hand!

With Apothrahk- the torso for the Gentleman vaguely reminds me of this Rahkshi's original torso design, for some reason- hence the comparison.

Fighting Truxor- the Brains in the inner city have no real agenda, so they'll attack anything that comes across them. When it's villains, the Gentleman doesn't mind fighting so much...

..but when it's heroes:

Facing off against Cliff Scaler. I dunno whether this guy'll actually crop up in the RPG, but it's another potential 'boss fight' in case Raptor runs out of ideas.

That's all, folks!

An entry to another contest is also coming quite soon... so look forward to that.

Quoting Ben Cossy The brain slug in the chest idea is genius, great work!
Haha thanks Ben! Took a lot of finagling and awkward design in the torso, but I think it works! :D

Quoting joshua jacobson wow looks great dude but are you working on the mummy moc i requested?
Thanks- I haven't started on your MOC yet- requested MOCs are very low priority, especially when it's one that's got nothing to do with my story and one that I wouldn't otherwise be building... so you're gonna have to wait on that one I'm afraid.

Quoting Makuta's Descendant - Now him I like. Also this makes me want to make something for this group NOW MORE THAN EVER! Unfortunetly the only HF mic I have lying around is a generic red and blue hero that is yet to be posted (Even though I've bigger plans in mind!)
Thanks MD! You should enter, man; There's been an extension- get building! Besides, I don't want to be the only constraction entry in the contest! :P

Quoting Toa Gaim Awesome work on this guy! I feel bad for what he's going through. Toa Hiroshi:"Oh my...Please let me help you!" I did a revamp of Toa Hiroshi feel free to check him out.
Thanks Gaim! Yes, it is an unpleasant fate indeed- I don't even think that Hiroshi would be able to help him now. I'll check out the MOC in a bit.

Quoting Traykar the swift Everything looks better in a hat! Nice moc, but the torso is a bit odd. #BrainAttackCitiesFallen4Evs
Most things do- though I don't look very good in a hat... yeah, maybe the torso is a little bit odd... it might have something to do with the brain parasite sticking out his chest, but it could be something else... :P Thanks Traykar!

Quoting Toa Whero Sweet! I love the hat :P Great work!
Thanks Whero! Yeah, ever since I made Master Helgran, (http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/435420) I realised a Bionicle/HF character can look pretty good with a hat. :P

Quoting RaptorTalon ~ Pretty good! not nearly as solid as the rest of your MOCs, but I feel the worn down look kinda fits. Neat stuff!
Thanks Raptor! Yeah, I think that was gonna inherently be a problem with this particular build- but I tried to use the warn-down aesthetic to help with that- which is part of the reason I made him a cities fallen character. This is a really odd MOC, not one of my proudest- but I'm glad you like it!
