Action shot showing the 3 opening hatches with removable engine, rotating turret, elevating/depressing gun, and adjustable DSHK
The suspension is still not torsion bar due to the size, but the 10 arms function exactly the same
The suspension in action
(It is very soft due to 2 1/2 plates of travel plus 2 year old rubber bands)
(Included is the T-55A LDD File)
The LDD file features slightly better shaping to the fuel drums and rear slope, but does not feature the hatch on the turret, but overall they are 95% the same.
The LDD version is single color. The LDD version sits high compared to the real version because gravity is not pushing down on the suspension as it is in the real model...
The only upgrade I plan to make at this point is a Brickarms DSHK machine gun to replace the brickbuilt one, but I can't get one right now because the only way to get one is in the Brickmania IS-3 and T-72 kits and I am not spending hundreds of dollars for a machine gun. So I have to wait for Brickarms to start a production run of them...
I do not plan to make it one color because that costs money and that is not a priority, I would rather prototype it in rainbow in real life, and publish it in uniform color in LDD for you guys to have one as well. And if nothing else the "Rainbow Camo" does make it hard to make out exactly what it is, so I guess its doing it's job...
UPDATE (10/30/2017)... The wait is over, Brickarms and Brickmania have sold the DShK machine gun as a stand alone product and I was lucky enough to get one of the 200 that they offered first before they sold out in a week and a half... And while I was at it I move the orientation of the rear engine deck hinges to better reflect the actual tanks. This has not been moved to the LDD file yet as this PC currently does not have LDD on it and I do not have permission to put it on it.
That DShK makes quite the "Crown Jewel" if I do say so myself...

Yes, I agree this is an amazing built but I would also like it better in gray, or white.
Thanks for the comment, I would love to build my MOC's in 1-2 colors, but I lack the funds to do so. That's why I mostly upload in LDD because I make prototypes in real bricks, but finalize them in LDD.

The treads work fantastically... but I don't like the "color vomit" aspect of it. Maybe try investing in some uniform color parts? That would really improve the overall build quality.
Well as I said I do not plan to do this because I build them in rainbow color, but I rebuild them in LDD after I am sure the connections are solid and the thing will stand up, the LDD tanks are really what I push onto people because the files are included as well... This is simply more or a less a prototype 2 years in the making that I posted to show off its functions because LDD is a pain at trying to show off functions in a build. However I have thought about it myself and if I do it will probably be rebuilt in White/Grey at some point after I get my career going and can afford to. Thanks for the comment!

Excellent T-55A, great MOC
Thanks man, I just wish I could have built it in a single color like yours... And I also wish I didn't have to pay $400 for a Brickmania T-72 Ural just for the Brickarms DShK haha... When I get that gun someday, it will be complete. EDIT (10/30/2017) That day is today... Update coming soon...
