My first Movie transformer. heavily inspired by ixrolloutix and Seth Higgins movie Optimus Prime models.
About this creation
I finally got around to making a youtube channel to show my Lego builds.
Here is my first attempt at a review of one of my LegoFormers, Optimus Prime.

I seem to be having problems embedding the video at the moment, if anyone know how to fix this problem please let me know. Currently cant put iframes on my pages, and I cant find an old embed code that seems to work.

His design is very heavily influenced by ixrolloutix and Seth Higgins movie optimus design, though I have made a lot of changes to both robot and vehicle mode.

the most obvious changes I've made to his truck mode compared to ix and seth's design is to the smoke stacks, which I have made much larger and moved to the bottom of the cab. his cab is also a stud longer, and he has mudflaps over his rear wheels.

there are a few exposed robot parts on the back, but it definitely doesn't distract from his overall appearance.

pretty tight fit

and compared to my other MiniFormers

to transform start by lifting his arms/rear end

now rotate the 1x1 that his smoke stacks are connected to

spin the smoke stacks around

and unpeg his arms

now slide the 1x1 clips back

and rotate up

lift head and adjust smoke stacks

now pull down the legs

and just like ix's design you need to slide them apart at the knee. though I have changed the hip design to allow for better articulation

now just rotate the arms

flip down the 1x2 hinge to give him some feet

rotate his shoulders down on stud friction

and finally angle his wind shields

and he is now fully transformed

I am very fond of this robot mode. I've made a lot of changes to his robot mode compared to ixrolloutix's design, which for the most part I've explained in the video.

compared to my other minis

He has very good articulation in the arms and hips

very posable.

backside

and here is how his chest is able to split.

I hope you guys like him!

Great job! Really impressive to have both versions look so good and still be able to actually transform!

Quoting Daniel Ringuette This came out awesome! Clever engineering! He looks terrific in both modes especially considering the scale! Well done!
