Camaros
Set 75874 Camaros done my way.
About this creation
I normally wouldn't post something like this, but I think it is fun to show how the Camaros from set 75874 have been rebuilt. I also tried to shoot the main photograph to mimic the box, though I neglected to build the "racetrack."

I have a lot of respect for Lego. I understand that sets are geared towards children, with a mindset of playability and ruggedness. Having said that, the cartoony "classic Camaro" was half baked, and the over-reliance on stickers is shameful. Here are my individual Camaros put together to represent the set.

Enjoy!

Quoting von erics I've gotta hand it to TLG for the taillight technique on the new Chiron set - that was an unexpected surprise. Typically they'd just pour a new mold or something (well they did that anyway with the new 1x2 slope/wedge piece, didn't they xD [not that I'm complaining!! I've already got about 5 uses for that one LOL])
You know, I saw that set and was surprised they did that. Unusually sophisticated. I've already put that new wedge thing to good use on my GT500. I love the part. Thanks for stopping by! :-)

Quoting von erics These look great! Certainly the late-model looks awesome and that striping technique on the classic makes me jealous! This is exactly why we had so much fun building the Ford GT40 Racecar last year too; how can you resist!? Even to my own surprise I'm coming around a LITTLE on use of stickers (I mean I'll cut a piece, what's a sticker? lol) Keep the SC/C cars coming!
I'm contemplating building 2 Ford GTs. One 1st gen, and one 2nd gen. I've used exactly one sticker thus far. Ha! :-)

Quoting Petey Bird Very cool pair. Nice to see the old and new version of the camaro alongside each other. We should put our Corvettes together to have a nother old/new pair :)
Hey thank you for stopping by! Yeah that would be pretty sweet, and bonus! We have similar build styles, so nobody would ever know! Ha. :-)

Quoting Zach Sweigart Really love the Yenko stripes on the Camaro. Would love to see this car in like a light blue color (if it's even possible), but looks killer in black too!
I appreciate the feedback! Yeah I originally had the Yenko in blue, but needed the pieces and made it a black (which they thankfully made, so it was legit). I think the closest colour they make where there are mudguards is Medium Azure. Might be worth the research. :-)

Quoting Sven ;o) Fantastic work on both. If I had more time I would work on the SC sets too. But too many other things to do.
I understand. I appreciate the comment! :-)

Quoting marcel urbanija WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY STUNNING PAIR! This is how the camaro set should've been from the start. (I love the Speed Champions line, I build plenty of Ford cars)
I understand some of the design choices on Lego's part. But stickers for everything? Lazy. Also the cartoony classic Camaro was a great idea, but poorly executed.
