My difficult category,
Mages are well-known and oft mysterious wielders of magical might. Sometimes, however, these wise benefactors of knowledge donít get along so well. Show an all-out battle between two users of the mystic arts. The landscaping is up to you, but the more crazy and mystical the overall build looks the better!
Well this category provided a lot of challenges for me. The first day I spent like four hours sitting just trying to think of a build for the category. Then I finally came up with this, (which could be better). Sadly with this build a lot of it is rock, but half the rock is hidden most of the time :/ The "floating tree is probably my favorite part of the build, it turned out quite well. I'm not really expecting to advance this round, cause my build could have been better :/ But I still like it. Good luck to the rest of you still in!
Extraordinary job here Carter (as are most of your creations ;) )! Really like the mystical feel that you've implemented effectively here. What might possibly be more astounding is the fact that this build doesn't have 50 likes. Ah well, some people just don't recognize talent... I don't really have time to adequately describe all of the elements that I like with this build, but I'm especially drawn to the well-detailed landscaping and layering and how you've incorporated that darker green area. Super duper dragon concept and floating tree too. Oh yeah, love the tower as well, nicely detailed and cheese sloped out ;) God bless and keep right on brickin' and inspirin'! ~Promar~
Really great build! The several floating elements came out very well, and the landscaping is great! Awesome idea for how to have the magical powers spreading across the build. And I like that you added the flying creature element too. Good luck!
Wow! Love the rocks and landscape, especially the floating tree :D My only critique would be the tower, I think it's quite a bit too square and maybe just regular tiles at the top would look better too. But another great entry to add to your repertoire, (btw, count on me using that tree technique sometime ;)). Also, on a somewhat unrelated note I bet that a circle or ring around the 'bad' wizard would look, well- fittingly- wizard :P
