About this creation
I purchased set #75871, since the Mustang is one of my favorite cars of all time. However, I wanted to build a different Mustang than what was the set. I settled on my favorite model, the 2014 GT500. This presented a unique challenge, and I met most of my own requirements. I may revisit this with an updated revision someday. Enjoy!

UPDATE: I got the new 2x1 slope pieces, and installed them in the front. Combined with a new scoop assembly, I feel that the overall aesthetics has increased.

The new 2x1 slope pieces are installed here, along with the new hood scoop.

Self critique: The spoiler sticks up too much and there is a gap. After pictures were taken, I mentally came up with a potential solution.

I don't normally use stickers, but this one was appropriate.

Quoting 0point0 . Because of your creation I bought the set "75871"! I noticed that you used a few different parts for your build. Do you have any instructions in how you built it?
I don't have instructions per se, but I do have this posted on my bricklink, where you can essentially reconstruct it that way. https://studio.bricklink.com/v2/build/model.page?idModel=8188

Quoting Stanley Holtsclaw Hey there - some good work on the GT500 MOC, looks great. I was looking at potentially using it as a featured MOC at Brick News, but noticed that your Flickr photos are labeled 'All rights reserved' so I feel it prudent to ask permission before using them in a feature. Thanks in advance for your reply...
By all means! Very humbling to have Brick News mention any of my models. Use at will. :-)

Quoting Rick S. Very nice, looks a lot better than the set. The headlight stickers on the sides just didn't look right.
I agree, the stickers look weird. My model is actually a different model year from the set as well. Lego's model is a 2015+ GT. I appreciate the awesome comment! :-)
