This is what happens when you have few daylight hours with which to take pictures: I'm resorting to making a bunch of builds and then taking pictures and posting them in rapid succession. Yeah, that's the story of my Lego life right now... ;)
Anyway, I got some sudden inspiration to build a small spaceship with a set of SNOT built mini-wings. But hey, I couldn't stop there, I had to go on and make a spiffy space-pad for this guy. Actually, seeing what the end result was, I probably should've just stuck with the landing pad, it's way cooler ;) Nonetheless, I did have fun building this creation and delving yet again into the world of sci-fi. Plus, those bots are kinda cool too ;)
Yes, that is a HUD ;)
My little bot buddies. I realized only after the fact that one of the antenna pieces fell down. That's what I get for taking the stick part out one too many times ;) (I'm putting way too many of these winking-face emoticons on this page ;) ).
Boy do I like this landing pad. The tiling was a bit arduous, but what made it all worth it was the cheese slope landing light arrows. Sure, the large curved pieces naturally worked well with the concept, but I'm really lovin' them transy arrows ;)
I'll get the slight critique outta the way first: robots... ehhhhh, they're missing something... Maybe make them a bit thinner I think. Ship looks fantastic. And that landing pad...mmmmm just really awesome! The arrows make all the difference. I definitely am digging those landing gears.
