'Aaaaay, I actually got something up more than five minutes before the deadline! :P No story for this one, as it would be an absolute pain to pose. The red backdrop is an experiment, so please let me know what you think. As usual, I apologize for the blurry pictures. Enjoy!
About this creation
Welcome to the BURNING PIT OF DEATH, where Tourneyers will prove themselves worthy to move on in a TRIAL BY FIRE!

The first thing the competitors must face is a LADDER CLIMB. This is, of course, not a true obstacle, because it is in no way life threatening. I suppose it's possible for the ladder to lose some rungs and possibly drop a Tourneyer while they're climbing, though...

Next up is the ZIPLINE, featuring a harrowing close encounter with MOLTEN LAVA! Many a competitor has met his scalding end in these ruby depths.

#3 is the ROCK WALL, which is sparsely covered with extremely small and slippery nubs for hand and footholds. More than a few Tourneyers have died of broken necks from a fall from this obstacle. As an added bonus, it is wide enough for two climbers at once, which can create some very fierce clashes (unfortunately, it seems these particular Tourneyers are taking the safe route of teamwork. Amateurs.)

Fourth comes the CHAIN SWING, in which the victim must swing from three incrementally higher chains to reach the apex of the course. At this point, it seems that they have NOWHERE TO GO, which has resulted in several deaths by fall or by dehydration in the case of those with stronger arms.

But not all hope is lost, because the last obstacle is nigh: THE FALL OF DOOOOOOOOOOOOOM. The name says it all, for each Tourneyer to reach this point must DROP TO THEIR DEATH! Or survive, if so inclined. If they live (few have), they will be greeted by the measly few fellow victors, and their opponents in the next round. Of course, one could also get a one-up on the competition by dropping directly onto one or two of the bystanders, thereby incapacitating them.

OH, THE BLOODY JOY OF VIOLENT CONTEST! MANY WILL ENTER! ONE WILL SURVIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!!! DIE IN FLAMES, SUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This message has been brought to you by the Tourney judges.

...

On that cheerful note, here's the base.

The assembled Tourneyers of this build.

Here's to R2, and good luck to all the other amazing competitors!

I can not really say much about the build, because it is hard to make out. I generally make photos no better than these, but I do retake them until I get at least passable ones (for days if I have to...) + next time iron the background...

Great work! I wish the pictures were a bit better, but other than that it looks pretty solid (especially that base!). Good luck in Round 1!

Quoting Classical Bricks Really nice build! I think the red backdrop would look much better if it weren't wrinkled, but it's a good idea!
