About this creation

== MKI COLONIAL VIPER =

Welcome to a new and bright new year hopefully filled with memorable and very creative builds as 2016 was filled with so many amazing and positively magnificent creations across the entire world that the creators who built them were generous to share with us all.

2016 I had been not that creative but sitting on the fence watching all the creations being posted.

With 3 builds for the year. The mining ship, death ball one and the Orion space cruiser. Not many but they were being shown around Tasmania. My policy this year one showing one ship so I can build more like in the past early years.

Saying this I have been spending more time on the property landscaping. It’s a big area and bigger ambitions. The weather is always the key to what gets done. Bad weather I’m inside creating, good weather I’m outdoors.

Now 2017 I have 3 builds on the go and the first to be completed, photographed, edited and now for the world to see.

Apollo :- Alright Starbuck where did you hide my viper?

Starbuck :- I have no idea what your talking about Apollo, it’s right in front of you.

Apollo :- well were in the hanger condition is set throughout the ship and the fracking Cylons are blowing the pogies out of the fleet.

Starbuck :- I’m off Captain got toasters to decommission.

The Worlds famous and well known Colonial Viper has come to Earth for a brief visit in all it’s majestic glory.
Having spent nearly 6 months designing and building the mega sized viper I feel it is ready for the rest of the Earthlings to see.

I have done a bit of research looking to find another larger in Lego and came up with none. A shame it could have assisted with creating this model. I’m happy with the results and that is what matters.

Dimensions
185 studs long x 93 studs wide x 67 studs high
59 inches x 29 inches x 21 inches high
1498mm x 737mm x 533mm

It is so hard after photographing to select a few to edit and post as they all looked ideal so I focused on more classical film shots that we would say “ I remember that.”

Ok I added more because I liked them too.

Adding special effects made me quietly make the noises and thankfully this build is to heavy to fly around the room ….. Only if we had anti gravity stands so that they can be easier to work with… I’ll dream on.

LIKE ME IN THE CLOUDS

The all important close ups

A special size comparison for one of my favorite LDD designers. GO STEPHAN …. It was hard to build this one with out the inspiration your design had given me. Thank you…

Thank you for looking at the first of 2017 builds

Fantastic model! The scale is amazing but the detail is mind-boggling! This is the best Viper I've ever seen. Congratulations!

Quoting Tim C Gorgeous, Garry! Totally thrown off by the scale. The first shot looked like it may just be miniscale, but the comparison to the minifig brought it all home for me. As always, the greebling is as good as it gets in the game. The edits are perfect. Really makes you feel like you're looking at film footage. Just superb.
Thank you Master Tim for your very welcome praise and comment. Its all in the illusion and 17kilograms of plastic bricks. Glad you liked the wee beastie. Cheers

Quoting Parrington Levens A 185 long Viper? This is madness. THIS IS GARRY KING! lol, man, this looks so good in the space shots. And the nose is finally portrayed correctly here. Wow. This will be a great barometer of where this site is these days... Killer MOC dude.
Thank you Parrington for your generous comment. I can only have fun while I bring the world of giant Galactica models to Moc-pages, of course the other sites I have uploaded them too. Cheers..

Quoting Ruud Hoogmoed Wow Garry, you did it again! Just like you mentioned, it brings back the feeling. Great idea to use battlestar dimensions. Is this just preparation to do the Raider in this way as well?
Thank you Ruud for your very welcome praise. It was fun to create. You never can tell what I have planned next and It could be a Cylon or it may not be. Cheers
