A little backstory, if you're interested:
So one day last summer I thought I wanted to do something different for my friends, since this year would be the last period of time that I would see them in a long while. I was inspired by Nannan Z.'s gifts to his professors. I decided that LEGO gifts could really last a long time, be more personalized and unique than other gifts, and would be more fun to make than, say, art or writing. I started to write a list of ideas of what I would give each person for their birthday, before school started.
Then I came down with a bad case of early onset senioritis. Meaning, most (all) of my gifts arrived days or weeks after their planned recipients' birthdays had passed. I think my record delay was over a month after that person's birthday, a record which hopefully I don't break as this next season comes around. We'll see.
Each of these cost me between $10-$20 to make, not including parts taken from my own collection. For all of these, I used whatever colors I had available to design a concept, and then ordered the right pieces in the right colors off BrickLink. They each took one or two nights to make.
tl;dr - this is the first batch of birthday gifts for my friends, specifically for the ones who had birthdays in the fall. There'll be another post for ones in winter, then spring, and hopefully summer. So yeah. Hope y'all like these!
1. For Autumn. Oh and I think I'll try something. I'll list what each thing is at the end of this post.
2. For Joseph.
3. For Tolu.
4. For Gianna.
5. For Niki.
6. For Kaylie.
And the answers!
1. Weeping Angel.
2. The Flash.
3. Lewis & Clark's boat.
5. Supernatural Impala.
6. Toothless (flying out of a book).
And that's a wrap! Happy Holidays to you all! May you find lots of LEGO. :)
