Amasoma's House
Sort of the LEGO equivalent of concept art for a series I'm working on. Props if you got the Brave New World reference.
About this creation
One of the few people still hidden within the declining forest, the mysterious Amasoma lives a solitary life, known only by the miracles she has worked on the sick and wounded brought to her home.

So, yeah, this is easily one of my favorite builds to date. It took me around a week and a half to finish it, which is a lot more time than I usually spend on my builds. There were a few things I was trying out for the first time, like building at angles - the first floor is octagonal, and the second is built at a 45 degree angle to the base. The roof was also new ground, and turned out a lot better than I'd hoped it would.

Amasoma's House

One of the big things I took away from BrickCon a couple months ago was that most people only ever see or pay attention to one angle of a MOC being displayed, so it helps to build things to be viewed from a single angle. This is super different from my usual style of building. This is the first large build I've made since then with this in mind, and I think the one angle turned out really nicely.

Let me know what you think, and any and all places I can improve in! Thanks for visiting!

Quoting James Y. I've had a similar take away from my cons. I build 360 most of the time, but most people only really view one face, or more often only the main structure. It can be a little frustrating as a builder.
Yeah for sure. Even this build has details at the back that aren't visible. At the same time, it allows more focus on creating a single, perfect shot, which is fun in its own way.

Quoting D H Bad--- man! I love the coloring! Really makes the build stand out as unique and interesting, and draws the eye right to that wonderful roof. The angles all came out quite well too! Great build!
Thanks for your insight! Good to know it worked out.
