I've outworked my LDD- tries on this famous character in real bricks. This one is dedicated to my fine friend here Tom Remy, who started with his "French belgian comics and graphic novels" a wonderful, but sorrowly underrated and neglected group on MOCpages! He was one of the first to support my first clumsy steps here... So it's time for another resuscitation attempt... ;)
About this creation
Parts are difficult to bring in here at this scale: the 4- fingered hands are Disney- style but... Compromises are necessary, I believe! ;) Maybe I'll try more playability like moving legs in future, see if new and matching parts and colors come along...

This nose...! No, for sure NO alien invasion... ;)

Even a hero get's the blues sometimes...

Enjoy!

Quoting Clayton Marchetti Wow! Oliver you really outdone yourself with this one. Using the head of one of the cantina bar musicians for his nose was a stroke of pure genius! The printed on eyes look like nostrils. Magnificent job!
Haha, this alien's head was a win to receive, 'cause I tried some "noses" before in my LDD- versions! Glad you like him so much, he's also one of my favorite creations... ;)

Quoting Henrik Jensen Absolutely brilliant my friend! I`m a great fan of the Asterix & Obelix adventures. I think doing one with movable legs would be quite a hard challenge, his legs are so short!
Glad I've matched your gusto too, Henrik! And Asterix 3.0 can wait a little, 'cause Obelix 2.0 would be more interesting imo... ;)

Quoting Jeremy McCreary Somebow I missed these comics, Oliver, but your character is quirky and lovable and wonderfully posable all the same!
These comics of Goscinny and Uderzo` are state of the art belonging to franco- belgian comics and I believe all over the world, Jeremy! The fun is for young and old, the caricatures of at that time actual politicians and VIPs and the likely hidden critical side blows are for addults a great entertainment! After Goscinny died the genius mind is missed, but it's still an entertaining story... ;) Glad you've fun here, my friend and thanks much! :)

Quoting Magma ! I'm a huge fan of those comics! Your asterix is spot on! That nose is quite a genious idea too. Would be cool to see more characters like obelix, getafix and of course the little dogmatix.
Glad to match your gusto too, thanx Magma! If you like these gaulish gentlemen you're invented to look here: http://www.moc-pages.com/folder.php/191898 You can fetch further LDD interpretations of some more characters... ;)
