Just your typical non-styled house from a typical neighborhood...
About this creation
Sorry for the long absence, full-time work is pretty incredible. It also happens to be a huge time taker...
Anyway, this is a creation from about a month ago (yeah, again sorry). It had been a while since I put together a full-sized, minifig scaled homestead, so I figured that I could probably try it again.
It's got the same color scheme of my "Mallard House" creation, but I wanted to both improve on roof variation and potential playability. So two roof pitches, three roof styles, and three removable sections later, I got this guy.
I'm still in my mega-creation phase, so this guy piece-wise was up near 800-1000 pieces. Sure, not very many for a bunch of you cool builders, but a milestone for me nonetheless.
On to the pictures:
Here's my sigfig sipping something hot out of a cool blue mug on a brisk Fall day. Due to seeing some of Mr. Cab's incredible techniques, I wanted to try something a bit different. The brick walkway border was my somewhat halfhearted attempt at doing something special ;)
Ha, I still love using that lavender color for a dash of highlighting. Between that and the rest of the build, I pretty much have the color wheel covered ;)
This was a first attempt at creating a smoke effect. Not great, but a guy's gotta start somewhere...
Here's the playability aspect. While the interior isn't finished or pretty, I did make this creation with the goal of having the option of putting stuff inside (even though my patience likely wouldn't allow that).
Well that's it for now. I've got a much better (and more color balanced) build on the way. I've just got to come up with the time to edit and post it. Could be a while... ;)
