R97 "Jeanne d'Arc" was a helicopter cruiser of the French Navy.
About this creation

Cruiser is designed to find and destroy submarines using helicopters anti-submarine squadron in conjunction with other anti-submarine ships. Cruiser-helicopter can also be used as a training or landing. Despite the fact that the cruiser did not have outstanding performance, he was a decent, reliable vehicle and almost 50 years in the service of the French Navy.

In wartime, the main ship weapons are 8 anti-submarine helicopters "Lynx" or landing "Super Puma" and "Super Frelon".

For self-defense ship was armed with a battery of 4 excellent automated 100-mm guns, "Mle-53".

During the modernization of the ship installed 6 ASM "Exocet" launchers.

Dimensions of the flight deck of the cruiser provides simultaneous rise of two heavy helicopters "Super Frelon".

With the aircraft carrier "Clemenceau".

My model is built in the scale of 1: 350, for the construction took 1131 (868 - above waterline) bricks.

Quoting Kurt's MOCs Beautiful model! The helicopters are perfect and I love the design for the defense guns. I don't know how you can make such elegant models. Keep them coming!
Thank you, Kurt! I had to work on the production of the ship's hull. Otherwise the model would look too bulky.

Quoting Gabor Pauler Excellent bow and bridge solution, your style keeps on improving! Helicopters are also pretty proportional. I would reconsider stern to use the same technique as at the bow, instead of quarter rounded tiles.
Thanks Gabor! I work over the stern :)

Quoting Locutus 666 Another fantastic build! Like it! Your french fleet seems to be complete now. :)
Thank you my friend! There are some interesting ships. Especially if I overcome the difficulties with the manufacture of lattice masts. In the meantime, I play the construction of the British and Italian ships :)
