Bored game - It’s raining outside, the power is out, and your battery died on your devise. Looking for something to do, you happen across a cupboard full of board games. Build a moc showing us which one you would choose to play.

Introducing, from the left, the Prom Queen, the Jock, the Goth and the Nerd. They're all here.

The guy who's either the coolest of the nerdy kids, or the nerdiest of the sporty kids depending on who you ask, has found a cupboard full of board games. Since the power's out and there's nothing else to do...

'Hey! Monopoly!'
'Nah - I always have to kill someone.' said the Goth girl.

'I'm cold' said the Prom Queen, 'I thought we were going clubbing ?'

'Power's out there too. How about Scrabble ?'
All, in unison, 'NO!!'

'Ah, what's this ?'

'Wow, it's a Ouija board'
The girl in black was suddenly interested...

'We might as well, nothing else to do; and anyway, what could possibly go wrong ?'

The Jock was uncharacteristically nervous, 'Um, suddenly I'm wishing I hadn't worn my red shirt..'

Still, at least the room's spiders are engaged. And there are plenty of them...

'Did that fire just light itself ?'

'Well, you said you were cold... why's the table shaking ?'

'And who opened the windows ?'
'Not me. Not any of us...'

'I don't like this... feels like I'm being watched!'

Naturally, they kept on playing until every horror movie trope had been exhausted. It's just what curious teenagers do in a creaky old house; like some kind of law or something. But who dies ? We may never know, although we can probably guess...

And that's what happens when the lights go out. Every time. Here's the cast, all still in one piece.

Quite what a wardrobe was doing in a dining room is not explained.

Some suitably macabre chairs...

... and one that's just ridiculous.

Although someone likes it.

This time the light's on. That old 4.5V light brick works, but makes absolutely no difference.

Picture borrowed from every single episode of Scooby-Doo.

The room in all it's... room-ness.

And some games. Stick with the red and green ones, kids.

That was fun, I normally wouldn't post so early in the round but I'm going away for a week. I'll be back to the bricks in time for R3, should I make it. Best of luck to my good and creative friend, Parrington Levens.

A truly brilliant entry! I just love those old figures, I mean classic :-) I like how brick build the rest of the body too. The room looks awesome and I just love how you build your furniture. Great looking scene. I can't wait to see who one

Always nice to see those old school figurines especially in a cool creation like this one. The room feels very real and alive. Thos curtain holders, the flags - nice touch!

Ha ha! Good idea, and bold move not to actually detail the board game! Too bad Parr couldn't play this time, maybe your build directed those evil forces towards him? Best of luck Nick!

Quoting Parrington Levens Congrats mate and enjoy RND 3! I had a bit of a turn recently and needed an emergency surgery! Not life threatening, but then again, I was in hospital for three days and needed general anesthetic. So yeh, what a bummer. I thought I was past the worst of it and that I'd be able to compete, but I have had a bit of a rough patch recovering in the end, and even playing Lego ended up provin g problematic last few days. Stupid thing is I am a bit better again now but too late :( I loved this take on the category and I wish I could have finished my entry. Maybe next time. Best of luck and have a good break!
Glad to hear all's well, hope you feel better soon; too bad about the timing, that's a tough break. Cheers mate.

Quoting Chris Roach I don't see a completed version of Parrington's entry in the round two pool - so I guess you've advanced by default. I would have really really liked to see this showdown. Hope everything is alright with your opponent. Good luck with your next opponent and category!
Thanks Chris. I know Parrington was working on something, a shame he couldn't get finished but I know he tried; hope all is well in Oz.

This is just so brutally great that anyone would have had a tough go against it. Brilliant take and a completely immersive build. Is that Jane? :D Setting the bar high, Nick!

While you made a very good entry, I have to give my vote to your oppon....wait, I can't do that. Bugger. Just kidding, it really is an awesome build and story! Congrats on advancing, and kids, remember to pick the red one because the green one is people!

Very british, what else: humor and skill in one person means Nick! Love your build(!), especially the old bigfigs ( ...even I'm mostly very interested in the technical links of them... )!

The room's stunning, so many colors yet they don't feel tacky. Or maybe they do, but that's not necessarily bad. I like your take on this, by avoiding the build the actual game as it's usual for this category.

Wonderful. I do love that chair, and the subtlety of not showing any blood.

Good way to compensate your absence next week, and a very impressive build too! I especially like how it's nearly impossible to tell you built both this and your R1 entry. The styles are so varied, and you have a great talent for variety. Excellent work Nick.
