"Atlant" class cruiser, 1:350
An updated version of my first Lego-ship.
About this creation

Cruiser type "Atlant" (pr.1164, NATO designation - "Slava") is the last representatives of the Soviet naval design, whose distinguishing features were massive pyramidal mast and inclined launchers for heavy supersonic missiles.

The cruiser has a very serious anti-aircraft and anti-ship missile weapons, as well as a very dense arrangement of weapons for its size.

Along with talent and good taste of Soviet engineers, this has led to a unique aggressive, but at the same time, the beautiful appearance of the ship.

Originally planned as version cruisers "Berkut-B" (NATO designation - "Kara") with reinforced attack weapons in case there are problems with the construction of nuclear "Kirov" class cruisers . But as the requirements of the ship and the creation of new models of weapons, mainly SAM "Fort" - navalized version of the famous S300 system, finally formed a new class of ship. In the photo - large ASW ship pr.1134B, intermediate project 1134BF with installed SAM "Fort",
missile cruiser pr.1164.

My model is built in the scale of 1: 350, for the construction took 1098 (844 - above waterline) bricks.

Quoting Clayton Marchetti A very nice looking ship! I love those missile tubes. Very clever the way you attached them. Magnificent!
Thank you, Clayton! The design of the missile tubes I worked with previous version of the cruiser. This time the main efforts went on the hull, masts and superstructure.
