Aliens attack the beach! A build by my buddy Keith.
About this creation
When the intergallactic hotel conglomerate Startree Corp. realized
that the remote planet XZ45683-B was blessed with gentle oceans, white
sand beaches, and a tropical climate, the place was quickly rebranded
as New Key West and transformed into the next hot resort destination.
Unfortunately for its first guests, the company didn't quite complete
its due diligance and failed to realize that an intelligent, acquatic,
and very militaristic species happened to dwell beneath the
crystalline waters of New Key West.
Luckily, corporate lawyers had included the standard fine print clause
on the tourist brochures denying liability for any giant alien mechs
rising out of the ocean to rain fire and death on encroaching humans,
among other things.
Still, embarassed by the negative reviews on Yelp, Startree generously
offered refund vouchers to survivors good for a free weekend tour of
an exotic ice meterioid belt aboard the new star cruiser Titanic IV.
This is a build by Keith that I've been horribly remiss in waiting to post. The darn thing wouldn't render in POV Ray! I waited over 24 hours once and it wasn't even half way. Must be all those water slopes and plates and... thus zillions of translucent pieces. SO that's when I found bluerender! Longest render of all the pictures was 13 minutes haha. Man, so quick, and they come out really well. Maybe not quite the exquisite detail, but for that speed I'll take it :)
