M.O.C.S. Carter Witzenburg vs. Geology Joe The Watermill
I am in bracket B.
About this creation
This is my round two entry for the M.O.C.S. Contest.
And my talented opponent for this round is
Geology Joe, and his great creation.

Due to lack of time this will be short and sweet. :) The category for this round was, watermill. Anyway this can be viewed from all angles. Well I really like how this turned out. But thats all I have time to say. And sadly I couldn't edit these :(. Good luck Joe! And to all else in the contest good luck!!!

To God be the glory,

Carter

While the wintry landscape of your opponent was rather appealing, the stonework and water detail in this build one me over. You have my vote...

Quoting Promar Quadratus Excellent work Carter! First off, I like how you've essentially made the two land sections appear like islands with their well rounded appearance. Next, the effect of the water makes it look like the stream is flowing straight towards us out of the picture. While I'm not convinced about the waterwheel, I definitely approve of the delightfully textured house. I'm always a fan of the half-timbered look and really like the unique window frames and door (boy, that ring gets around ;) ). I wish there was any way to make the waterwheel look smoother, but I do appreciate the idea. God bless and keep up the great work! ~Promar~
Thanks Promar.

Quoting Elio Salsano Hi there, A very cool build. You get my vote to begin with. Lets just say a few things about your build. First of al, the treedesign is pretty cool, it could be improved a bit I think. The house looks good, lots of texture, not too much in my opinion. The land/floor/underground (what's the right word for it?) looks pretty good. I like the water, it looks flowing. And the window is very cool! I don't think the watermill is that convincing. Now for some things could be improved. It needs a bit more foliage and maybe a bit more detail in the land/floor/underground. And one thing I noticed a few times in your build, they need more life in it. Now there is a single man just standing there, doing nothing. No sign of activity, which makes your build a bit static. With a little more it would be a very good build! I wish you the best of luck with the other judges. Greetz, Elio
Thanks.

Quoting Connor R. Carter, I really like your entry, the river is nice and the trees give it a nice feel, however the house is mediocre and so is the landscape. But all the components together gives the build a nice theme. Geology, your entry is very clean and straight, the techniques are a bit simple but they work well, the only thing that really stands out to me is the snow which could be improved and the water wheel which is quite studsy. In the end my vote goes to Geology Joe, but you both should be proud of your entries!
Thanks anyway.

Quoting Brick Ninja I really like this build, it has great texture and a good scene. The uneven base is great, and the river is nicely done. I'm not a big fan of the trees, but much better than many other versions I have seen too. While Geology Joe didn't have enough texture in his walls, ironically I feel like yours has too much. I like the level of detail in the stone and roof, but I feel like it is a bit much in the whitewash and the window. That said, I think it is a great build and in the end, you have my vote. Good luck and great job.
Thanks.

Quoting Geology Joe Awesome job! I love the curved, organic base and the landscaping is beautiful. Great work on the textures and the other fine details of the mill. I especially like how the wheel is partially submerged in the water; it looks very convincing. Overall, great combination of engineering and aesthetics! Good luck!
Thanks and good luck!
