Brickhills Avenue
An avenue with a Hollywood Feeling!
About this creation
My Corner scene which takes some inspiration from Buildings found in L.A from around the 1940's. I saw some interesting styled buildings upon visiting Disney's Hollywood studios a few years back and did some research as to where they got their inspiration for the various shops on 'Hollywood Boulevard' and 'Sunset Boulevard'. The Ladies clothing shop is very heavily influenced by 'Villains in Vogue' which in turn is similar to the 'Pasadena winter gardens' front Fascia. I took inspiration from 'The darkroom' and 'Beverly Sunset' for my corner building, the latter being styled on the 'Warner Beverly hills theater'. I've set it sometime in the early 1960's so I could use some of those awesome Scooby-doo hairpieces and add some stars for the 'Walk of fame' - I believe it started just at the end of the 1950's. Anyway that's probably enough of a history lesson. There is Gini's home electrical store on the corner and a ladies clothing store housed in the white and black rendered building. It's taken quite a while to get the shaping and angles right!

Thanks! It was alot of fun to build, sadly slowly being dismantled at this moment to make way for something new!
