Knight Rider
I always loved Knight Rider as a kid and wanted to build a Lego version of this iconic vehicle. Then I thought, what would be better than a Lego KITT, but a transforming Lego KITT! This time, KITT stands for Knight Industries Transforming Trans Am :) I was inspired by Alex Wong's amazing Smokescreen and Bluestreak Transformers and used a few of his design techniques. KITT can fit a minifigure inside and fully transforms from artificially intelligent super car to mighty robot without the addition or removal of any parts. I finally finished the real brick version and will hopefully post it in the upcoming months. This was my first attempt at LDD, so I apologize for my presentation. I hope you enjoy this MOC and please feel free to rate, comment and ask questions! Take care! Update: I've added some new rendered pics of vehicle mode as the car and black background made it difficult to see KITT. Enjoy!

Quoting Scott Bertaut Wow this is awesome! Love Knight Rider myself, and the fact that it is a transformer is just increadable. Too bad it isn't a little bit bigger, then you could have made the head look like "the Hoff," lol! Great work!
Thanks! I love that idea! Hmmm...maybe for V2 :)

Quoting Stuart Lucas Awesome idea, nicely realised! I'm impressed by yours (and Alex's) ability to make a fully transformable car in minifig scale. For the background, I'd use GIMP (a freeware program with similar functions to Adobe Photoshop). It's a bit intimidating at first but once you get used to it you could swap out that black background for white in a few clicks.
Thanks for the kind words Stuart and thanks for the background advice too! I'll check that out!

Quoting Bx Brix Cool concept! Wish I could see more detail with the black background lol, Great job tho!
Thanks! Any idea how to get a white background? I'm not the best at uploading pics (usually use the simple uploader).

Quoting alex wong It is just amazing. All proportion looks great. I can't believe you made it in LDD, I think it is even harder than attempting to build in real lego brick.
Thanks so much Alex! It was definitely a challenge for me working in LDD and trying to figure out the engineering from one mode to the other.
