About this creation

General view of the build. None of the existing MOC's I found of this place really did justice to how huge it is, so I tried to remedy that with some forced perspective.

I think it turned out pretty well. I used this and this as reference pics.

Unfortunately I don't have nearly enough brown or dark orange to get the "Geonosian colors" right. :(

Some details on the lowest section.

The middle track and the tower have been removed here for a better view of details underneath.

This photo and the next one were last-minute additions to make sure every part of the MOC was shown clearly.

So yeah, this was a lot of fun to make and one of my favorite MOC's ever. Hope you like it!

Quoting D H Love it! Really great industrial design and greebling to match the decor of the movie scene. And the layered approach did achieve your goal of making the scale look bigger. Great build and good luck!
Thanks! Only entry so far... >_>
Quoting Deus "Big D." Otiosus Some people like to use controlled blur in forced perspective, but some times, it does not fit, really. To get the whole shot in focus, get your camera far from the MOC, then zoom into it. Cropping might help in the process, if need be.
For the main photo, I liked the composition; the other, non-blurred photos definitely show the perspective better, so you're right. Thanks for the comment!

Quoting Kinon Quotes This is really good. I wanted to build something from genosis but I didn't have the right colors. This is a great way to represent the planet without having to build an entire red sand landscape. Well done.
Thanks! One of these days I do want to make a much bigger Geonosis moc, though.
Quoting --R.K. Blast-- Great job! The forced perspective works really well! Nice use of the Doc Ock tentacles too! --Blast--
Thanks :) I've been waiting years for some way to use those darn things. XD

Quoting Werewolff . That's some awesome forced perceptive! The main photo really showcases the scale, and the build itself is a very fitting tribute to the original factory. Best of luck!
Thank you!

Quoting Gerald F. Oh my! I didn't expect this build to be so big. Like the main photo totally had me fooled XD. I love all the machinery and railings. Very very detailed. Awesome work and good luck in the SWMO. Keep On Brickin'!
Haha yes, the main photo is my favorite because of that effect. Thanks for the comment!
