Icon of late "cold war", the T-72 has always been my favorite MBT.The various performance of various MBT are, and always will be, for comparative purposes, and discussione. My preference is based on the philosophy, that I share , behind the project (common to Soviet tanks before and Russians today), that achieve a strong and efficient vehicle, for mass production, affordable costs, simple maintenance and use.the T-62 was replaced by T-72 just because it did not respond to this philosophy, but this is history ... I have always loved the aesthetics of the Russians Tank and the peculiarities' of the T-72 make it for me the most beautiful ever.In my model I have tried to respect the most 'can the proportions and size (it's a 35-40 ton tank against 50-55 tons of Western tank) of the late 70's versions, early 80s, without too many special aesthetic fantasy to enrich the model, but putting real functions, such as working suspension, the presence of the entire crew and engine, the removability of additional tanks and the tree trunk.I hope you enjoy it and thanks for any comments that you will want to leave.
About this creation

the reference for my model is an exemplary seen in the Moscow parade of 1980.

under the tower, gray-blue, I simulated the footprint of the ammunition depot, just behind the fuel tank(orange)is connected to the motor.the cannon gearing has the pins type "friction",for balance the weight of the barrel.

The odd shape of the fuel line (orange) is just a mistake of the POV-Ray ... in light red is the nozzle of a fire extinction system, in blue is the motor control cable and dark red return of electrical power.

I added a service door that allows you to extract the mini fig.

Unfortunately there is no way to extract the pilot without removing the turret.

in order to open enough the engine doors you need to remove the "tools-containers" on the turret. do not worry ... they are plug-in.

Many thanks! "The first love never forgets" but proportions and shape are more correct in my next T-72 review ...

Quoting Jimmie Martinez This is beyond a shadow of a doubt the best T-72 in LEGO form I have ever seen. Hull and turret shaping is a dead on ringer for the real thing. There is nothing about this build that is not top notch work . 10/10 and BOAJEWD.
wow ... am really pleased that the time spent is not in vain ... thank you very much!

Quoting killswitch95 [SNRK] I try to be a fan, but Mine are built more to be played with, yours, is just amazing...
thank you, but there's nothing that you can not do, the bricks are the same for everyone! and in any case all of my models made in LDD are conceived to exist in the real world ... soon I will upload the LDD and you'll see that they are not very different from yours.
