XD Falcon
One of my fave Aussie cars. I had two in the past...
About this creation

Made in 1979 the XD Falcon was available with a 5.8 litre (351) engine. It was a fun car.

Seeing this reminded me of an old British series I've been watching thru Netflix called Minder with Dennis Waterman. But I just looked it up and the car he drove was a Capri not I now see and not a Falcon. But, I'm guessing they were both built on the same frame? Anyhoo, interesting to see the British/Aussie version of the car. Always new things to learn! :)

Ahh, the late 70s and 80s, what a great episode of car engineering! Blocky beasts. Hehe. Nice one, dude! ~Marc

Quoting Nick Barrett It's a neat looking car, a lot like a UK MkII Granada. Although that never had a V8... Nice model.
Yes Nick, I believe the Granada was a major influence in designing this car though it was done from the ground up for Australian conditions. ie, long drives at moderately high speed and rough roads. That said, these tended to break down a lot once they'd aged a bit; but sheesh were they comfortable...

Great! Reminds us that not every car requires difficult angles like my most recent truck. I must say I rather have your LEGO version with normal looks than the in my opinion messed up one in the last picture. Those wheels.... Disgusting. Anyway, nice build again

Quoting Werewolff . Ahh, the old Falcon. My father once had one of these cars (or was it must uncle?) and I loved it growing up. Nice to see it beautifully represented in LEGO form, awesome work Paz :D

Quoting David Roberts A big car in classic building style. I like the little touches, such as the orange and black slope bricks that make the angles on the front indicators. A 5.8l engine! Wow! That's nearly 3 times bigger than the one in my car!
Cheers Dave, he I drive a 2.0 litre these days myself. Can't afford the petrol this thing used to guzzle.

Nice one! Good to see that with traditional building techniques you still can build great mocs. Good work.
