MELO R3: Carter Witzenburg vs. Noel Peterson
Bracket, Barad Dur. Category, The Stairs of Cirith Ungol.
About this creation
My opponent for this round is Noel Peterson. Noel is probably one the all time best twelve year old builders that I know of. So good luck Noel!

With a white background ^^

I really like using Bain's head for Sam to make him dirty

This build turned out really well though the mini figs make it look smaller than it really is. So if you want to see for yourself how big it is make something 40 bricks high and compare it to a creation that you've made. I also like how having MELO on the side turned out. The two versions of the witch king are included in the two corners, I included them because he plays a roll in the chapter, read it to find out. This was also my first time using a black background. And I think it's kinda funny that I have been the first one to post all three rounds. I guess thats all for now.

To God be the Glory,

Carter

Captured it perfectly! You have a ton of potential for top noch rock work!

The bad news is, I gave my vote to your opponent. The good news is since he's dropping out it doesn't matter.

Both builds are fantastic and I couldn't have done anything to improve them... wow. You guys have just rocked this category. Noel, it's a shame you can't continue because you're a heck of a builder and you certainly have(had) some potential, I like your bridge and the rocks are nice as usual. Interesting take on the category as well! Carter, your build is awesome. I know how difficult it can be to create a good looking lego rock that is still realistic so kudos for that, it also has a feel much like the movie. In the end my vote goes to Noel. His interesting take and attention to detail won me over. 'Grats to both of you to making it here and for the fantastic builds! Good luck!

Fantastic work! Your opponent's entry is more visually interesting overall, and his rocks are a little more polished than yours. However, your rocks are still really good, and the overall effect of this build is so convincing! It really evokes the feel from the movie. You have my vote.

Cool rock work!

Hi there, Not really sure about this one. The rocks look a bit repetitive to me. I like the second shot a lot, with Smeagol and the duo in a close up. Greetz and good luck, Elio

Very nice, I really like some of the rock work, though that single jumper plate really sticks out :(. Great job all in all!

Spectacular cliff! Great rockwork and nice addition with the "MELO" lettering on the side.

Nice! A bit plain, perhaps, but the rockwork is quite well done!

Haha yes, first again I see, and you certainly don't skimp on quality though you work quickly, this is another very excellent build! Very true to the story, and I like the nazgul figure addition to the base, adds some flavor. Good luck!

This is the time when I envy your rock work collection, when my category is one that involves waay more than I own. Anyway, good work here, a little repetitive, but there is some reality in that.

Easy; just retake some pics (with Mythronians and dwarves in it :P) and post it again, but with "LOM UC," or something similar, as the title. Then maybe write a short story that fits your challenge, which would be leading dwarves away from King Sadon as he rides across the country. ;P

Fine work! This really isn't a scene you see much in Lego so very original.

Quoting Armon Russ Whoa, epic rocks! Quick, enter it in the LOM April UC. It just might win. ;P
How do I do that?
