Team: Five Bricks of Flame Category: Holiday Mix-up Like Nightmare Before Christmas, a mash-up of holidays. Thanksgiving and Arbor Day, Passover and Groundhog’s Day, Kwanzaa and Boxing Day, anything you want, the loonier the better.
About this creation
Hey There and Welcome

This is my first entry to the 2016 MocAthlon

For this category I chose a mix-up between St. Patrick's Day and St. Georges Day.

Sorry about the crusty photos

Mean while on St. Patrick's Day. There was and experiment going on. TIME TRAVEL!

Irish Man: "I cant wait to see what it's like on St. Patrick's Day."

Scientist: "Just step through the portal and find out."

Little does the Irishman know that the scientist only read Science for Dummies and wasn't really a qualified scientist.

Irishman: "This ain't St. Patrick's Day!"

English Soldiers: "No! It's St. George's Day! Let get him!"

Bonus Pics:

Here you can see the table cloth with the symbol of England the Red Cross.

The English Soldiers.

The Irish man representing Saint Patrick's Day with his Irish Flag for clothes.

Everyone knows the rivalry between the English and the Irish. Right?

matt said and I quote "The loonier the better!"

God Bless

I think this suffers from the holidays you selected to merge. As David pointed out, this is still a very pertinent and incendiary subject. But as for the build at hand, I am not convinced of the lunacy or the concept. As a time machine dio, it's really very good; as for the subject and category, it does not quite work. Score = 2

2 - the build is pretty clean but simple. I think you might want to read a bit more history, the tension between England and Ireland is more than rivalry; think bloody political conflict which still tears communities and families apart. You unfortunately walked into a political argument that the whimsy of the build feels slightly incongruous too. If you haven't seen it, I'd recommend you watch Ken Loach's 'The Wind that Shake's the Barley', which gives you some idea of what went down.
