Team: Five Bricks of Flame
Category: Holiday Mix-up
Like Nightmare Before Christmas, a mash-up of holidays. Thanksgiving and Arbor Day, Passover and Groundhog’s Day, Kwanzaa and Boxing Day, anything you want, the loonier the better.
I think this suffers from the holidays you selected to merge. As David pointed out, this is still a very pertinent and incendiary subject. But as for the build at hand, I am not convinced of the lunacy or the concept. As a time machine dio, it's really very good; as for the subject and category, it does not quite work. Score = 2
2 - the build is pretty clean but simple. I think you might want to read a bit more history, the tension between England and Ireland is more than rivalry; think bloody political conflict which still tears communities and families apart. You unfortunately walked into a political argument that the whimsy of the build feels slightly incongruous too. If you haven't seen it, I'd recommend you watch Ken Loach's 'The Wind that Shake's the Barley', which gives you some idea of what went down. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wind_That_Shakes_the_Barley_(film)
