About this creation

SPACE CRUISER ORION IS A CREATION I PUT TOGETHER WHILE FILLING IN TIME AS I EDIT AND WAIT TO TAKE MORE PHOTOS OF THE MINING SHIP.

YOU MAY SAY THAT PART IS FROM THAT SHIP AND THAT SHAPE IS FROM ANOTHER BUT HAVING SEEN SO MANY BRILLIANT SPACESHIP CREATIONS OVER MY LIFETIME.
ALL THAT I HAVE SEEN WILL BE SEEN IN ONE SHIP.

THIS BUILD HAS NO PLANS, NO IMAGES OR ANY OTHER VISUALS IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM.

TOTALLY BUILT ON THE FLY AS THEY SAY. IT TOOK MANY MONTHS TO CREATE AS I CONTINUED TO REMOVE SECTIONS MANY TIMES TO CREATE THE SHAPE AND DETAIL AS YOU SEE IT TODAY.

DIMENSIONS

1950 MM LONG X 940MM WIDE X 230MM HIGH
77 INCHES LONG X 37 INCHES WIDE X 9 INCHES HIGH

Quoting Stephan Schumann Garry King at his Best! This own creation of yours is fullfilling every dream of the perfect spaceship! I like your Orion from bow till stern, starboard till Board! Before I lost in every detail, i just say, i can imagine the function of most detailed features and systems, as they are seem simply logic to me. The shape is stunning - great, and kind of between heroic, and scientific. Genius Work!
Thank you Stephan for your overwhelming praise. This was a fun build and now it has been dismantled I am building even bigger and better BSG models.

Quoting Tim C Wow, Garry. In your last comment, you said that I put you to shame, but that's impossible because I have somewhat involuntarily modeled my building style after yours. This is spectacular. What I find most impressive about this is that there is no reference for it, yet it looks like it should have shown up at some point in popular science fiction. Love how you used the white curved bricks in there to give it a sort of skeletal look. Great to see you back at it full steam. Can't wait to see what's next for you. Also can't wait to show you what I've got cookin' over here.
Thank you Tim for your kind words but I still say you have put me to shame... I am humbled that you use my old school techniques, I just try to make them as ridged as I can so they can be moved around with out crumbling into a pile of blocks. I'm still editing the next massive builds images and still have to build it upside down so I cam photograph the underside. Thanks again and keep creating strong and putting me to shame :-)

Quoting VAkkron I really appreciate the passion in this build! I like the repetitiveness, yet every inch is completely detailed. The size is difficult to grasp. I wish I could behold it in person. Excellent work.
Thank you VAkkron for your comment. Glad you liked it. Its not as heavy or bulky as some of the builds of the past but still almost large enough to swoosh around the room with out too much difficulty. Who am I kidding.

Quoting Mihe Stonee really fun GARRY.... :-) Supercool as everytime ! first i thought ough- that's a little bit too small for a GARRY-SHIP, but then... just wow like everytime! mostly i like the outer back part of the wings, which are a little bit backlayed - hot!
Thank you Mihe for your comment. Glad you liked it. As you know size matters. In Lego builds its all about the detail

Quoting David Roberts Superb greebling and I love the texture along the white body of the ship. I didn't realise quite how massive this build was, until I saw the photos of the details, with the room in the background. An impressive build!
Thank you David for your comment. Glad you liked it. I like them big.

Quoting Wesley Kreiss Epic! The scale of this ship is amazing. Your commitment to details are top notch. I really like how the underside looks as detailed as the top and the wing angles are perfect.
Thank you Wesley for your comment. Glad you liked it. I always like the top and bottoms to be as detailed as each other as I take photos of both sides and perspective photos . I like Detail.

Quoting D H Whoah! Incredible spaceship!! Love the intricate details, and I especially like the way the aft end came out with the engine exhaust color. I agree with another reviewer that the main picture doesn't do this beautiful work justice! Hard to tell how big and detailed it is from that shot :)
Thank you D H for your comment. Glad you liked it.

Quoting Deus "Big D." Otiosus Cool ship, but it does look much smaller until viewed closely.
Thank you Deus for your comment. Glad you liked it. The big builds do look small as space backgrounds have no size reference.

Quoting El Barto ! Great to see an original Garry creation! Tons of nifty greebly details, and awesome overall design. Just watched the Hand of God episode tonight, by the way...
I rather liked that episode more than the rest. Yes I am back building and have an older moc to photograph it's huge. Thanks for the comment

Quoting matt rowntRee Yes, I like it a little. XD Those white curves are a brilliant touch that add an incredible depth to the texture. I can't decide if I want to see some identification/color/emblem/flair or just imbibe in the delicious greebles as the artistic statement. So industrious, purpose could be anything and ubiquitously employable as such. Cargo, warship, anything. Brilliant platform!
Thank you Matt for your great comment and looking at this mind bending moc. Made me think a lot.
