A while ago I created my own version of the Batmobile that appears in the videogame Batman: Arkham Asylum. I also posted the built in Lego Digital Designer so that everyone could make it for themselves. Someone (mqbui1) did exactly that but made some changes to my design so that the car could actually fit a minifigure, after seeing this I was inspired to do this myself but whereas his design could only fit a Batman with the new (version 3) cowl I managed to find a way to fit any Batman figure in my Batmobile.
As most good things do this also comes with a sortof negative thing, the bottom of the car now almost touches the ground. The wheels do still turn but not as smoothly as they did before.
I guess it all comes down to what you prefer, a Batmobile that can drive around (the previous version) or a Batmobile that can fit a minifigure (this version).
I also added some details inside the cockpit as it just adds that little more to the built, anyway enough talk here are some pictures:
As you can see there are some slight changes compared with the previous model. The red windows are now gone and have been replaced with either trans-black cheese slopes or have been left out completely in order to make space for the figure.
The first picture with a Batman minifigure actually inside the car, as you can see there are no changes whatsoever with the exterior.
A front shot that provides a clearer look at the Batman, looks pretty comfy doesn't he?
A look at the side of the car with a figure inside, as you can see it can close perfectly.
An even clearer look at the Batman... don't let his face fool you, he actually is pretty happy...
Here you can see what the cockpit looks like without a figure, pretty simple but it gets the job done.
And here are 2 more shots of the car with Batman standing next to it.
I hope that you enjoyed this creation. If you want to built your own version please check out my previous Batmobile as the LDD file can be found on that page.
