FDNY Tiller Ladder 5
Faster as predicted I was able to finish the brandnew FDNY Tiller Ladder 5. I tried out many new techniques especially at the ladder part which is made of tubes for the rails, battle drois arms as steps and minifig hands to connect all. The part were very expensive but it was worth it. Another nice detail which was very important, is the working tiller steering. It's made of two crossed "strings 30M with two knobs" and connected with the trailer axle and the back of the tractor. So if you do a right turn with the tractor the trailer axle is turning in the opposite direction, a left turn. It's working very well and fits perfect into my tight city streets. Other details as usual from me: reflective striping, lettering and many tiny selfmade stickers to get is as realistic as possible. Other details are the working ladder and outriggers. Overall length of the whole rig is 48 centimeters. I hope you like and enjoy the new rig. Is the biggest truck in my collection now ;) Thank you for stopping by, commenting and rating. Ps: A second ladder part and working lights are planned for the future.

Hello Ryan, thanks a lot for your interest, your very nice comment and sorry for the tardy response. Actually I don't have any instructions made except the LDD files I have on my page for free download. It's planned for the future but atm I'm too busy because it's a lot of designwork neccessary.

Hey Sven, this is outstanding and so realistic that it sometimes loses the typical 'Lego look' of most creations. Very nice how you applied the stickers on the windshield. My favorite part is the ladder, though. That's really nicely done. Wish I had all these pieces for masts, cranes and stuff like that. Ein ganz tolles Modell mein Freund!
