We don't know what happened.
One moment I was standing guard, the next, everything went black. Black as night.
Than I woke up. I wasn't alone. Three other soldiers woke up. We were all in heavy pods.
As we got out of the pods, we ventured towards a dawning light. I recognized that we are in a ruined train station, but I don't know where.
Fighting the overwhelming feeling of panic, I look at a rusted train. Full of human skeletons. My fellow soldiers are silent.
Now the only thought that is running through my head is this. How did this happen?
The rusty old train. This is definitely my favorite part of this build.
Aerial view of the build.
Side shot of the build.
The back! (Or the front, it depends on your point of view ;) )
An artistic type of shot.
And the rusted train in all its glory!
I've always wanted to try out the post-apocalyptic style, so here it is! :)
This was originally going to be a black market-esqe train station, but I thought that it would be better as an abandoned one. This took me about 3-4 days to build. The glass roof was one of the hardest parts considering that it kept on breaking when I would pick it up. :P
But all in all though, I'm really happy with this build.
Critiques, comments, and criticisms would all be welcome.
Attention in the Ready Room…The rules for the third iteration of Decisive Action have just been posted in the DA3 Ready Room. We built the Ready Room so motivated competitors could study the DA3 rules and gain understanding before the game begins on 7 April 2018. Well, the rules are now posted. So report to the Ready Room. Get the information, get your head in the game, and above all… get ready. Build! Post! Review! Attack! This is Decisive Action.
A stunning build. you carry the age of the train quite well and the station with the overgrown vegetation and shattered glass is excellent. My only suggestion is that if the train is this rusted and decayed then wouldn't the rails be in the same condition? BOAJEWD.
Awesome build man, but if there is one thing I love about you ( in all your builds ) is the backstory, beautiful. This train station is such a nice piece, and i think you should make a black market style train station, like underground or something. Love the build - Max
I didn't notice the shattered glass on my first look. Very cool. I really like the way you organically spread the green textures with the mechanical greebles on the roof. I'm not quite sure about the train, I don't know what's wrong but something doesn't look right. I'll have to look harder and see if I get a breakthrough. Anyway, you are quickly becoming one of the most versatile builders around. Now I have a challenge for you (after your SHIP): build a mid-apocalyptic build. Perhaps something with a burning building or a natural disaster in progress. Kevin Moyer's Nuked comes to mind. http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/409705 Whatever adventure you start next, I wish you luck, and it's awesome to see the world taking so readily to what you have to offer! (I think I need to do some catching up. ;) )
