In the deadlands of Enalica, three partners fulfill their Tourney mission.
About this creation
The three Grers had been given a task: aid a local village in their search for food. Dwarven invasions had spoiled the land of crops and destroyed mainstream commerce. Much of the island's natural resources were being reconstituted as weaponry. Without steady rain, the peoples of these seashore islands had gone farther inland to track down a simple meal, or a drink of fresh water. It was up to the few brave souls who, supplied with their rations by The Tourney, had agreed to help the poor, starving people across the nations.
Thinking about those poor commoners, Hermli turned to the task at hand. He stopped and pushed a shovel into the soft ground. Moist dirt and gravel turned over as the shovel struck the roots of an ashspice. The rare plant grew by the scores along this one fiery ridge on a small Enalican cove. The herb had regenerative properties that gave it medicinal application, and certain medicines were in great demand as malnutrition caused many townsfolk to fall ill. In many ways, this was cathartic for the three birthmates. Earlier on in their life, after they had rebelled and escaped their slave master, the Grers had carried on a mercenary business, smuggling spices through the secret passageways of Mythron. Now, they were once again mining spices, but this time for good. "But money is still on the line," Veist spoke into his thoughts. Hermli smiled and could feel the smiles of his two birthmates. They made a good team, he thought.
In fact, the job was perfect for Grers. Even with the brutal heat radiating from the lava marsh below, the three hatchmates went about their duty with a determination that could only derive from a serious competitor in The Tourney. Surrounded by the heat of fire, the Grers shared just one thought through their sibling link: "This had better be worth it."

This was a very interesting build, and I enjoyed creating a landscape, which is a first for me. Actually, everything in this build was a first for me. I am particularly please with how the lighting effect came out, though I wish I had a few more LEDs. Also, the build is too condensed for my preferences, and the different depths made it exceedingly difficult to photograph. In hindsight, I might have been better off putting the dark green tree on the ridge top instead of growing from the marsh, as that would have flattened the image a bit better.
Tell me what you think! I would really appreciate hearing advice and input on the build. Thank you!
The lighting looks great in the last picture but not as good in the first picture. Anyway, I like the layout of this build and the dark colors, but I'm not sold on the lava technique - one without loose pieces would probably be better. Good luck in Round 1!
