LOM - Tourney Round 1 - Portal
About this creation
Category: Fighting Famine
Guild: none yet

Owen hid behind the corner of a warehouse, with two dwarves in hot pursuit. He had gone for a short walk through central Bodus Minor in search of a meal and forgotten to grab his dagger prior to embarking. Now all he could do was run and hide until the danger subsided.

Suddenly, a voice called out from within the warehouse: "Hey, in here, quick!"

It was the woman who worked at the warehouse. The building had been empty as of late due to the influx of foreign fighters, and she had been hiding there since the dwarf raid had begun, several hours before. Owen saw why the warehouse was such a great spot to hide; a trap door was open on the floor and through it he could view down onto what could only be blue sky. "It's a portal; somebody had placed it there before I came in; I can't tell if it's ours or theirs" the woman said.

On the other side of the portal was the opening of a well, in a landscape covered in lush grass free of snow and ice.

"I'll go through the portal first to see what's going on and will call out when the coast is clear. We might be able to find some food out there." Owen sprinted from the well to find some cover in a nearby thicket of bushes.

Nice idea with the double sided moc! I feel like a bit more detail and cleanliness on both sides (for instance, using plates rather than bricks for smoother color transitions in the building) would have helped the overall look of the moc. Good luck in round 1!

This double-side moc is really cool idea. Great job! Oh, and the house looks awesome.

Quoting Mr. Cab I can't even wrap my head around how geologous - excuse me, genius it is to build a double-sided entry like this. :P The portal is somewhat questionable in terms of LOM continuity, but in the tourney, that doesn't really matter.
Ha, thanks. Yeah, I wouldn't mess around with a portal for my normal LOM storyline, but saw in the rules that there could be portals and that's when I had the idea to somehow illustrate one.

Quoting Noel Peterson Cool idea with the upside-down side! I'm assuming you photographed it on it's side though. You're missing a few requirements BTW.
Oh, thanks for the head's up. I think I fixed a few things, but I'll double-check...
