This painting from Hokusaļ has always been one of my favorite. It was a real challenge to make it with Lego bricks. I had to make it bigger compared to the real size to obtain a good mosaic effect.
79cm x 55cm
I started this tableau in september.
The conception and the mounting was a long work of patience but I'm very happy with the result. It was worth doing it !
It was also very difficult to make a nice frame and a system to hold it.
If some of you come in Barcelona, the tableau is displayed in GALEGORY, a store specialized in Lego products in the center of the city (last picture of this page).

Excellent choice for a mosaic. I encountered this artwork first as a jigsaw puzzle (doing jigsaws is another hobby of mine). You managed to pull it off very well. I hope to work on a mosaic myself - just have to find the right artwork to use as my inspiration.
Absolutely stunning, Didier! You captured the energy of the original perfectly. The pixellation is used to good effect in the spray and hardly noticeable elsewhere. This is right up there with your dragon and the best work on MOCpages.
Quoting MCLegoboy !
This is beautiful. I do wish there was an artistic shot of a closeup just to see the colors used better. It's not hard to tell, but there appears to be more colors used than what I know was used.
Thank you Legoboy,
The colors are the followings (as designated in "pick a brick") :
White, black, brick-yellow, bright blue, medium blue, earth blue, medium standard grey and dark standard grey.
Maybe it appears more colored for the first picture because the lighting was not natural.
