Mountain Monastery: CCC XIII
Daiymo Hayato is weary and finds rest in the monastery of monk Satomi.
About this creation
After consulting with the late monk Osamu, Daiymo Hayato left for Tagashima Castle to plan out his next move. He has heard from his spies that enemies are plotting against his life, and that the safest route would be through the mountains. The main roads would be far too dangerous. So, after several days of travel, Hayato and his bodyguard, have arrived at a safe haven, the monastery of one of Hayato's close friends, the monk Satomi.
And that is that! :)
This is my entry for the Colossal Castle Contest's small category.

The wood on the building are definitely expertly done, the rocks surrounding are spot on also. One thing though, I think the roof needs more asian flare to it such as this: http://www.asianartnewspaper.com/article/chinese-architectural-models You know, just a curve at each corner.

That bell is well, beyond anything I could come up with. This build makes me want to dust off my japanese style builds.

Quoting The Royal Brick Brilliant as always, my friend! I love the shaping of the rock-face, and the japanese gate styling all around is fantastic!
Thank you so much man! I'm glad that you like the Japanese architecture, the main reason why I'm doing this style instead of the normal 'whitewash and crumbly rocks' is because 1. I don't have enough pieces for the rocks to look good, to be honest. 2. I don't think that my creations would stand a chance against other people's European themed buildings/castles etc. and 3. I just have always loved Japanese architecture and history. :)

Quoting Kermunklin the Giant Evil House Head I must say, that rockwork makes me salivate slightly...well done! The piece reminds me of old Kung Fu movies; if you haven't seen it, you should check out the movie "The 36 Chambers of Shaolin," (also known as "Master Killer," although the dude doesn't directly kill anyone...).
Thanks so much man! I'll make sure to check out those movies, they sound fun. :) Because after all, who doesn't like old Kung Fu movies? ;)

Quoting Armon Russ Ooh, nice shaping. This could arguably pass off as an LOM build if an effort was made . . . *nudge* *nudge* :P
It very well could, I might just figure out a way to incorporate it... ;) Thanks Armon!
