The Daedalus class warp nacelles have also experienced an upgrade, though not to the same extent as the rest of the ship. The pylons have been shortened and streamlined, and the warp nacelles have received new domes and spikes.
About this creation
A peek inside with the hull removed.
The Bussard emitters are now based on the NX class, with an new spike to focus the magnetic field.
The warp coils have been completely replaced, with new plasma injectors based on the testbed Warp 5 technology of the NX class.
The space matrix restoration coil (new) and off-axis field controller.
The new domes are transparent, unlike the earlier opaque ones. A set of eight reaction control thrusters surrounds each dome. Just aft of the pylon is the control reactor.
There is a distinct blue glow behind the inboard warp field spill ports. An intercooler assembly runs along the lower spine.
The aft assembly contains emergency plasma vents (dashes) and the main forward thrusters (dots), surrounded by a heat sink. The intercooler runs along the bottom.
